Vandal (Van) Jones was born in San Francisco, CA in the 1970’s. Being a clever little natural son, he gave his mother hell, but she always covered for him and never let him take any blame for his petty thefts and bullying to burglaries, assaults, rapes, or gang fights and murders. He skated through the juvenile, and later the adult, courts without any major convictions. He caught the crest of the bay area’s liberalism and managed to get through high school and a 4 year college without doing anything but joining the local Communist Party and pulling an occasional drug deal, mugging, burglary, or assault. Graduating from college, he immediately joined a community activist group where his criminal talents and communist training served him well. Along the way he was arrested over a dozen times and spent a couple years in prison.

John Smith, called Honest because of his unfailing truthfulness and sense of fair play, was born in the Central Valley of California, and worked on the farm as soon as he was able. His parents continued to work with him on the farm through his junior year in high school when they suddenly died. Living with an uncle and working on his farm for room and board, Honest finished high school and graduated with honors from college by working part time to pay tuition and other expenses. Upon his graduation, with high honors, he tested first out of over 200 applicants and made it into the police academy. His performance was stellar and even as a cadet he risked his life several times to save citizens from drowning, house fires, and accidents. Upon graduation he had already earned two of the academy’s highest honors for bravery and graduated at the top of his class.

The Incident

Honest Smith was on patrol in his police cruiser when he stopped to help a motorist parked on the side of the highway. As he approached the vehicle, Van opened up with an automatic pistol and shot him three times. A highway patrol officer responding to Honest’s radio call witnessed the entire event and with backup units managed to subdue and arrest Van.

How it Is

Van Jones pled not guilty and claimed he was impoverished and couldn’t afford a lawyer. Although he had hundreds of thousands of dollars and extensive property from his criminal activities, the court appointed him a top defense attorney at taxpayer’s expense.

The trial was over quickly because the liberal Deputy County Attorney pled the case down from attempted murder, assault using a deadly weapon (illegal to possess as a convicted felon), unlawful possession of a firearm, drug possession, car theft, driving a stolen car, and resisting arrest to simple assault. A liberal judge sentenced Jones to 1-3 years in prison and with credit for 13 months served waiting for trial, Jones walked out of court a free man.

Honest recovered, but was partially disabled and had to give up his police career. With only a few years of service his partial disability payment was less than his monthly house payment. Smith’s wife kept working, his oldest son dropped out of college to help out, and Smith, despite a withered arm and constant pain, did day work as a cabinet maker and finish carpenter to make ends meet for him and his family.

How It Should Be

After an exhaustive investigation, the police discovered that Van’s brother, girlfriend, and his mother worked in his drug ring and protection rackets and helped hide his income. An honest prosecutor went before an impartial federal judge and presented evidence of Jones’ racketeering and hidden wealth. The judge imposed RICO and IRS statutes to seize all cash, property, and automobiles used in the criminal activity awaiting outcome of the trial. He also issued warrants for the arrest of Jones’ brother, girlfriend, and mother on racketeering and tax evasion charges.

Meanwhile, Jones hired his own lawyer and was tried in the county-state court system for attempted murder, assault using a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, drug possession, car theft, driving a stolen car, and resisting arrest. Jones was convicted on all counts and sentenced to life in prison. He was also convicted in federal court of racketeering and tax evasion, along with his family and girlfriend, and all their money and property gained by racketeering were permanently seized. In addition, Jones and his co-conspirators in racketeering were sentenced to 5-10 years in federal prison, with Van’s sentence to be served in federal prison in the event of his parole from state prison.

The four million dollars gained from the conspirators’ cash and sale of property were used to compensate Smith for his injuries, suffering, and loss of lifetime income and the remaining funds were used for court costs and a victim compensation fund.

Honest Smith’s oldest son finished college, with honors, and his daughter started her college education. Both were supported in college by academic achievement scholarships and Smith’s settlement funds. Smith opened a small cabinet shop and it was so successful that he was able to hire three additional workers.

Back to Reality

The criminals and their crimes in America have far reaching effects and hurt and terrorize hundreds of millions of us each and every day. It is not as simple as described above.

When a violent crime is committed, it is not just the individual victim(s) who suffer. It is like dropping a rock in a quiet pond. The ripples of a violent crime ripple through the family, friends, and community of the victim. Family members see people in their family injured or killed, people in the community hear and see the violence and they are discouraged and frightened. In aggregate, these crimes affect all Americans. For example, how many women feel comfortable walking alone, and at night, in any inner city? How many people are afraid of a car breakdown in populated or rural areas? How many people see a demonstration by radical leftists in America and feel safe being anywhere near it?

How many people lock their homes and cars out of fear of theft, robbery, injury, rape, or murder? How many children dread school because of gangs and crimes in schools and on the streets getting to and from school?

The answer to these questions is almost every decent man, woman, and child in America is terrified of criminals and their crimes. Police, prosecutors, judges, juries, parole boards, probation officers, politicians, and everyone responsible for public safety have all let us down.

To attack crime we must do several things. First criminals commit crimes and they should be held entirely responsible for their actions. Second, liberal philosophy and political correctness flood our nation with violent criminals at the expense of its honest citizens. Americans of good faith should fight liberalism and political correctness if we want equal justice under law in America. Third, we must recognize that it is possible to preserve our freedoms and crack down on criminals.

We cannot afford zero tolerance for all crimes, nor does it make sense. But I do believe we need, and can afford, near zero tolerance for all violent crimes, and much stricter enforcement and sentencing for non-violent crimes. There is no excuse for serial criminals. The old “Three strikes and you are out” laws where a third felony conviction means an automatic life sentence should be mandatory in all jurisdictions. Habitual criminals do not deserve their freedom. Another way to handle this is to bring to trial and convict, if guilty, those committing any crime while in prison. Harsh sentences should be given for any crime in prison and felony crimes should count in the three strikes rule. Our prisons should not be nests of perverts, rapes, and assaults, nor should they be post graduate schools for teaching criminal tradecrafts. Discipline tougher than basic training in the military should be maintained at all times in our prisons.

We shouldn’t buy into the sob stories that the criminal had a bad childhood or anything else. A criminal is a criminal and should be treated as such by society. The crime is what counts, everything else is irrelevant. And, we should prosecute all beneficiaries of crimes (family members often know of the crimes and live of criminal gains).

We shouldn’t buy into the phony arguments that we cannot afford more police or prisons. It is not true. Property and violent crimes cost us way more that it would cost for adequate police forces and prisons.

Reform of our criminal justice system depends upon election of decent, patriotic, and conservative candidates at all level of government and rejection of leftist and socialists at all levels.

Global Warming Did It! Lies and Excuses

Everything from stinging ants to zip locking bags are blamed for global warming. Ever notice how the liberal, soft science, radical global change “experts”, and “scientists” can blame anything on global warming, and more specifically man’s evil role in producing carbon dioxide. I say soft science because none of the loudest global alarming alarmists is competent scientifically.

If you dig below the headlines, you will usually find the so called experts are uneducated radicals from organizations such as “Community Organization of People to Save Planet Earth”. Their academic backgrounds are often in social policy, environmental studies and policies, and other soft science areas. Few if any qualified climate scientists, successful meteorologists, or qualified environmental engineers are involved in the global warming alarmist movement.

If it is hot in Chicago the headlines blare global warming! If it is cold in Chicago, the headlines blare global warming predictions suggest there will be cold snaps and more variability, and thus the global warming alarmists are right.

If you examine the global warming alarmist movement even deeper you will be like Diogenes searching for someone not bloated and gobbling at the public trough; Universities (government), federal agencies (government), tax exempt think tanks living on government grants (government), and loony leftists politicians (government). But you won’t find competent and honest politicians or qualified and experienced experts in the private sector.

Poor Diogenes, still looking for an honest person (yes the global warming alarmists group is over-represented by the female gender, hence “person”). Wow! Seems anyone can speak PC lingo, huh?

This is Not Funny

You may be laughing at how stupid and silly the global warming alarmists really are. But don’t laugh! Their scientific understanding may be at the grade-school level but their community organization and public relations spinning talents are well honed. They have captured the UN, politicians world-wide, the main stream media, and they have brainwashed and indoctrinated students in our schools at all levels. Their dirty politics would shine even in Chicago or Washington, DC. And, the trillions of dollars they are controlling need to be returned to the taxpayer.

Vote for real conservatives in 2010 and 2012. As soon as Obama and the socialists and radical communists can be removed from our government we must take it back and undo the steps they have taken to ruin America and to establish a socialist tyranny.

After this is done, we need to get the federal government out of education at all levels, K-post graduate. Education needs to be returned to local controls and the federal government’s role in education should be eliminated. Federal departments and agencies controlling education should be abolished and the savings returned to the local taxpayer.

We Are Color Blind

Another of those songs from the heartland. (Check it out, Colorado isn't too far from the geographic center of the country; before 1959 it was in Kansas and now it is in North Dakota).

Grand Junction is the largest city on the Western Slope. It is a Rocky mountain city unlike Denver on the Eastern Slope which is much more like a midwestern city. The politics and beliefs are different on the Eastern and Western Slopes. Sometimes I feel that some of the places on the Eastern Slope, Boulder for instance, belong more in the San Francisco area than in the Rockies. Enjoy the song.

The Show Trials and Are Being Prepared

Every leftist takeover government seems to investigate, prosecute, and then persecute members of the former (opposition) government. The “show trials” are the big propaganda bonanza. After that the often cruel and inhumane punishment is carried out with little public fanfare. Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, Communist China, Communist Cuba, Communist Viet Nam, and Communist South Africa are the best known and the most serious violators of human rights on a mass scale.

Often called re-education centers, concentration camps, political prisons, or not acknowledged at all, the places where the leftist radicals get even with their predecessors are hell holes of torture, inhumanity, and murder on unimaginable scales. Most of these nations never recovered from their political purges and the inhumanity that followed. The first step in these long and tyrannical processes is government investigation of former government officials. This has started in America

For the last few years the radical left has been screaming and demanding prosecution of former Bush officials. They have succeeded in the first step. They are investigating the CIA in spite of letters to Obama from 7 former CIA directors warning that the political investigations would harm the CIA and America’s defenses.

After months of consideration, Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday appointed a special prosecutor to examine allegations that terror suspects were abused at the hands of their CIA interrogators.

The highly controversial decision comes as the Department of Justice released a 2004 report from the CIA's inspector general detailing allegations of harsh interrogation practices -- which Holder cited in his decision.

"As a result of my analysis of all of this material, I have concluded that the information known to me warrants opening a preliminary review into whether federal laws were violated in connection with the interrogation of specific detainees at overseas locations," Holder said in a written statement Monday.

In a memo to the agency Monday morning, CIA Director Leon Panetta urged his staff to stay focused in the face of the "politicized" debate the report is expected to stir up, and defended the way the agency has handled allegations of abuse over the past several years.

"This is in many ways an old story," Panetta wrote, saying many of the techniques have already been made public. He wrote that the CIA obtained intelligence from high-value detainees "when inside information on Al Qaeda was in short supply," and that his role now is to "stand up" for officers who followed the legal guidance given to them.

Parts of the report suggest the intelligence gleaned through the enhanced interrogations was invaluable -- but it also is not clear whether that intelligence could have been extracted through more conventional interrogation methods.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said the documents "clearly demonstrate that the individuals subjected to Enhanced Interrogation Techniques provided the bulk of intelligence we gained about Al Qaeda. This intelligence saved lives and prevented terrorist attacks." source.

How Should Patriotic Americans Respond?

I don’t think decent Americans have ever stooped to the low and crass levels of the anti-American leftists and socialist/communists. And, I don’t think we should this time.

But Obama and the radical leftists are making so many changes in America, changes that will prevent the return of freedom, equal justice under law, and economic recovery from ever happening if some of them are not reversed. This calls for a measured, transparent, and just program supported by the good people in America. This program should be in the planning stages now so that when Conservative patriots return to power, some of the harm can be undone. It should form the core principles of the Republican Platform.

The following list is incomplete, but does contain some essential steps to recovery of our freedoms and economy.

• The president’s legitimacy status (were Constitutional requirements of native born citizenship met by Obama?) should be the first step. If it turns out he is a usurper not meeting Constitutional requirements for being President, then drastic measures will be required to undo all his evil and identify his co-conspirators.
• All aspects of the stimulus program should be examined for their legality under the Constitution and those not passing this test should be rescinded.
• The status and actions of the Federal Reserve should be reviewed and all of their records should be made public.
• All aspects of Obamacare should be rescinded and Bush’s prescription drug plan and Congress’ SCHIP plans should be eliminated.
• Infiltration and corruption of the government by radical persons, groups, and organizations should be determined and those not meeting the legal and reasonable requirements should be investigated as criminal racketeering and prosecuted under the RICO statutes. The short initial list should include all community organization groups, ACORN, La Raza, the Unions, and radical Muslim organizations.
• Racial and sexual discrimination programs such as affirmative action, contract set asides, quotas, and “protected classes” should be eliminated permanently by new legislation requiring equal justice under law without regard to race, color, creed, gender, or any other factors except ability and qualifications.
• Income taxes should be overhauled and simplified. Now, half of the population do not pay any income tax and are thus deprived of full participation in citizenship. All who live in America should pay some income taxes because all who live here benefit from public programs and protection. A flat tax covering every citizen and legal resident (no other people should be in America) should be instituted so that everyone realizes that to benefit from our society they should also contribute to it. The overhaul should also include significant tax reductions on all working people and businesses.
• American citizenship is the most valuable thing on earth and should be treated that way. A strong and patrolled fence should be built, all illegal immigrants should be expelled and kept out, and legal immigration should be drastically reduced and limited to those with the qualifications and willingness to benefit America, demonstrated assimilation, and they should be subject to lifetime limitations on welfare and publically funded retirement.

Where Is Obama’s Loyalty?

Suppose you were raised by socialists/communists and the man in your early life was a possible pedophile. Suppose you went to Muslim schools in Indonesia and your bigamist father was a Kenyan socialist/communist/Muslim. Further, suppose the most important mentor in your life was a convicted terrorist who bombed the pentagon. Suppose your education was rigged for success and you sailed through school from the elementary level through Harvard Law School on an affirmative action pass. Then suppose you were a “community organizer” for a while, graduated to dirty Chicago politics, served a couple years in the US Senate, and then were propelled, without any work or executive experience, by your radical leftists and Muslim backers and handlers to the White House.

That is the life history, what we are allowed to know of it, of Obama. Suppose all other facts of your religion, schooling, citizenship, and loyalties were kept secret by a small army of lawyers. Where would your loyalties be?

As nuclear threats increase, Obama cancels Missile Shield

This accomplishes three things: 1) It restores the nuclear threat to Europe of an aggressive Russia, the birthplace of global communism, 2) It gives the Islamic tyrants in Iran a free hand in intimidating all of the Middle East, including Israel, and Eastern Europe, and 3) It weakens the US and leaves it open to strategic nuclear threats from Russia, China, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and North Korea. Why do Obama’s policies favor these barbaric and tyrannical nations over the US and Israel? His policies follow his loyalties.

With all the attention focused on Obama’s attempt to force socialized medicine on America, he is quietly bringing all of education, K-Graduate school under government control.

The Quietest Trillion
Congratulations. You're about to own $100 billion a year in student loans.

The furor over President Obama's trillion-dollar restructuring of American health care has left his other trillion-dollar plan starved for attention. That's how much the federal balance sheet will expand over the next decade if Mr. Obama can convince Congress to approve his pending takeover of the student-loan market.

The Obama plan calls for the U.S. Department of Education to move from its current 20% share of the student-loan origination market to 80% on July 1, 2010, when private lenders will be barred from making government-guaranteed loans. The remaining 20% of the market that is now completely private will likely shrink further as lenders try to comply with regulations Congress created last year. Starting next summer, taxpayers will have to put up roughly $100 billion per year to lend to students.

It's not a popular idea on campus. Loans directly from the feds have been available for decades, but the government's poor customer service has resulted in most borrowers choosing private lenders. This week three dozen college administrators, representing schools from Notre Dame to Nevada-Reno, signed a letter urging a longer transition period to this "public option." The fear is that the bureaucrats will not be able to pull off a takeover in just eight months. "Any delay in getting funds to schools on behalf of students will result in our needing to find resources at a time when credit is difficult to obtain," warns the letter.

All of this is certain to pass the House, and the only chance for stopping it is in the Senate. If it passes, parents will soon have no choice beyond a Washington bureaucracy to borrow money for their college-bound children, and taxpayers will pay a fortune for the privilege. source.

Also hidden in the bill is a provision that allows the Administration to tap into the student loan funds and spend them anywhere in the nationalization of education from construction of K-12 schools, grants to education organizing groups, etc. This program is a deceptive and insidious take over of the schools hidden behind the student loan program.

This amounts to socialized education in America. And it is going to happen unless the Senate kills the House bill.

So where are Obama’s Loyalties?

We cannot believe what Obama says, but we can believe what he does. Apparently, his loyalties are to Islam and communism and he is hell bent on bringing socialism to America. Just as night follows day, tyranny follows socialism.

Don’t Go Throwing, Trying to Scare or Kill Me

An Iraqi throws shoe at US Army combat troops and they defend themselves. It is entirely fitting and proper, that in a city swarming with terrorists; if an individual jumps up and rears back to throw something at our troops they should immediately fire and prevent that attack. In all previous experience such attacks have been with lethal explosive devices.

An Iraqi man who witnesses said shouted abuse before throwing a shoe at a US army vehicle was shot dead on Wednesday in what the American military said was a suspected grenade attack.

The incident came a day after Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi was freed after spending nine months in jail for throwing his shoes at former US president George W. Bush during a visit to Baghdad.

What’s unfortunate about the situation is that al-Zaidi should have been shot while raring back to throw the shoe at President Bush. Only incompetence and negligence by the Secret Service prevented this from happening.

It is also unfortunate that when al-Zaidi threw the shoes at President Bush, nothing of consequence happened to him and this emboldened others to throw their shoes at Americans.

However, there is good news. At least several Iraqis now know that US Army combat troops are cut from a different cloth than are Secret Service agents. I hope that the rear echelon, administrative type troops in the US Army do not decide to discipline the combat troops for defending themselves.

If Only We Had a Few More Wilsons and DeMints, but Alas RINOs Abound

Republicans have the opportunity to win back most of Congress, at least enough to stop Obama, Reid, and Pelosi cold. But they lost much of that opportunity by running from the Republican base on Sept 12. How could the Republican Leadership ignore the biggest rally in Washington’s history? It was not only the biggest; it was the most patriotic ever. They will lose even more if they keep nominating RINOs like McCain and other pantywaist Obama wannabes.

Since the mid-19th century, the party that controls the White House has lost seats in virtually every midterm election. The exceptions were in 1934, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt navigated the Great Depression, and in 2002, after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, strengthened George W. Bush's image as a leader.

Democrats have gotten off to a much faster start than Republicans in fundraising for 2010. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had $10.2 million in the bank at the end of July, with debts of $5.3 million. The National Republican Congressional Committee had just $4 million in cash and owed $2.75 million.

The economy poses the biggest problem for Democrats, with job losses of 2.4 million nationwide since Obama took office. Despite recent signs the country is pulling out of the recession, the unemployment rate in 15 states still was in double digits in July, led by Michigan at 15 percent.

Democrats must defend as many as 60 marginal seats next year, as opposed to about 40 for Republicans. Among those, about 27 Democratic and just 13 Republican seats are seen as especially ripe for a party switch. source.

Of course the Democrats have more money

Patriots in America have had enough of Republicans running as conservatives and then turning way left and joining the Democrats. And, patriots have seen way, way to many RINOs as their only choice on the ballot.

My wallet remains closed to anyone who does not support the Constitution and equal justice for all in America.

Conservative Patriots March in Washington – Republicans Miss Opportunity for Rejuvenation

Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.

The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.

People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

Demonstrators waved U.S. flags and held signs reading "Go Green Recycle Congress" and "I'm Not Your ATM." Men wore colonial costumes as they listened to speakers who warned of "judgment day" - Election Day 2010.

Richard Brigle, 57, a Vietnam War veteran and former Teamster, came from Michigan. He said health care needs to be reformed - but not according to President Barack Obama's plan. "My grandkids are going to be paying for this. It's going to cost too much money that we don't have," he said while marching, bracing himself with a wooden cane as he walked.

FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House of Representatives Majority Leader Dick Armey, organized several groups from across the country for what they billed as a "March on Washington."

Organizers say they built on momentum from the April "tea party" demonstrations held nationwide to protest tax policies, along with growing resentment over the economic stimulus packages and bank bailouts.source.

It Finally Happened

As you can see in the above excerpts and the link, there was a giant patriot’s march in Washington on Sept. 12, 2009. It was a glorious march filled with decent people trying to save America. They were patriots trying to give something to America—a return to patriotism, integrity, freedom, equal justice for all, equal opportunity, a sane spending program, a stop of socialism, and a competent national leadership again. These millions peacefully marching in Washington, DC represent the majority of Americans. This majority represents the best of America and is its economic base of taxpayers. These are the people who pay for everything in America, the people who support themselves and all other Americans too. It is good to see them no longer remaining silent.

This is in contrast with almost all of the other protests in Washington, DC during my lifetime. Most of the others were by scruffy, ugly groups drug out by communists and other anti-American organizations and special interests to aid our enemies in the Soviet Union, Viet Nam, the Middle East or to demand something from the government. Most of these protests aimed to defeat America or force it to give more and more of the taxpayer’s money to special interests.

A Missed Opportunity for Republicans

Democrats fled and hid because they have no logical response to free people supporting America and demanding a stop to socialism and massive growth in government spending. Obama flew over the crowd in the presidential helicopter on his way to a friendly crowd in the land of Franken and stolen elections. Other Democrats also fled Washington or hid in fear of the loyal opposition peacefully protesting under their Constitutional right.

But where were the Republicans? Only a handful of elected Republicans (GOP Reps. Mike Pence, Tom Price, and Sen. Jim DeMint) spoke at the rally. Where were the Republican Leadership and those potential presidential candidates who seek to lead our nation?

More Lies and Double-Crosses from Obama

Every time Barack Hussein Obama makes a promise to the American people, it is not long until he breaks his promise. Obama promised not to hire lobbyists in “my White House”. With appropriate respect, Obama, it is the people’s White House and you own none of it. You are merely its current resident, and perhaps an illegitimate one.

The vast majority of politicians and lawyers lie for a living. Modern presidents are notorious liars. But Obama outdoes even the infamous Bill Clinton. Speaking plain English, Obama is a liar. He was called out for it in his recent speech to Congress. As of Sept. 10, 2009 he broke 10 more of his promises. This time it is issuing waivers to hire 10 lobbyists, a lie times 10.

Further ridiculing his laughable ethics rules, Barack Obama has issued 10 additional waivers to hire lobbyists in violation of an executive order he proudly signed upon taking office.

The president’s latest ethics waivers give his administration a total of 16 prominent industry lobbyists who either work as White House officials or in high-ranking positions at federal agencies despite his stern campaign promise that lobbyists “won’t find a job in my White House” and highly touted order order banning them from his administration.

Among the registered lobbyists already working for Obama is an attorney general (Eric Holder) who lobbied on behalf of a bankrupt telecommunications firm, a deputy defense secretary (William Lynn) who lobbied for a major defense contractor and a director of intergovernmental affairs (Cecilia Munoz) who supervised all legislative and advocacy activities for a powerful La Raza group.

In each of those cases the White House claimed that “reasonable exceptions” were issued to the ethics rules in the public’s interest because the candidates had unequalled qualifications. The same compelling public interest argument was conveniently applied to exempt the latest batch of lobbyists.

At least 2,985 people died in the September 11, 2001, attacks, including:

• 2,966 victims [2,998 as of Spring 2009]
All but 13 people died on that day. The remaining 13 later died of their wounds. One person has died since the attacks, of lung cancer. It is suspected to have been caused by all the debris from the Twin Towers.

For example, Charles Krauthammer has a recent article that explains Obama’s fall, though much too kindly and giving Obama much more credit for intelligence and decency than he deserves. Source.

Here is some of what he had to say.

What happened to President Obama? His wax wings having melted, he is the man who fell to earth. What happened to bring his popularity down further than that of any new president in polling history save Gerald Ford (post-Nixon pardon)?

The conventional wisdom is that Obama made a tactical mistake by farming out his agenda to Congress and allowing himself to be pulled left by the doctrinaire liberals of the Democratic congressional leadership. But the idea of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi pulling Obama left is quite ridiculous. Where do you think he came from, this friend of Chávista ex-terrorist William Ayers, of PLO apologist Rashid Khalidi, of racialist inciter Jeremiah Wright?

But forget the character witnesses. Just look at Obama's behavior as president, beginning with his first address to Congress. Unbidden, unforced and unpushed by the congressional leadership, Obama gave his most deeply felt vision of America, delivering the boldest social democratic manifesto ever issued by a U.S. president. In American politics, you can't get more left than that speech and still be on the playing field.

In a center-right country, that was problem enough. Obama then compounded it by vastly misreading his mandate. He assumed it was personal. This, after winning by a mere seven points in a year of true economic catastrophe, of an extraordinarily unpopular Republican incumbent, and of a politically weak and unsteady opponent. Nonetheless, Obama imagined that, as Fouad Ajami so brilliantly observed, he had won the kind of banana-republic plebiscite that grants caudillo-like authority to remake everything in one's own image.

Accordingly, Obama unveiled his plans for a grand makeover of the American system, animating that vision by enacting measure after measure that greatly enlarged state power, government spending and national debt. Not surprisingly, these measures engendered powerful popular skepticism that burst into tea-party town-hall resistance.

Krauthammer Stopped far Short of the Truth

Maybe he thought by sugar coating Obama’s fall he would give the appearance of rising above partisanship, or maybe Krauthammer still retains political ambitions and doesn’t want to offend too many leftist Democrats. Whatever the reason, Krauthammer sugar coated the above analyses. I will try to fill in some of his omissions, but I urge you to read Krauthammer’s article and judge for yourself.

First, nothing was mentioned about Obama’s incompetence; his dreadful writing embarrassing to a truly educated man, his incoherent babbling if the teleprompter or wide screen TV fail and he can’t read the speech prepared for him, and his lack of ever doing anything worthwhile. Obama never had an honest job, has no work experience, and no leadership experience or talent. The 500 pound gorilla in the room that Krauthammer ignores are the facts that Obama is not well educated, not very intelligent, not at all articulate, and lacks experience at anything worthwhile. Why? Because Obama, like Judge Sotomayor, is an affirmative action baby and has received a pass at every step along the way. Competition, the work ethic, and character are foreign to Obama because he had everything given to him and earned nothing and learned very little along the way. Obama is a stranger to striving for success and the joy of accomplishment through hard work. Like most people given something for nothing, he is bitter and hates those who gave him so much.

Second, Obama is a socialist and thus an evil man out of touch with American decency, tradition, culture, racial tolerance, and our yearning for freedom. He disdains the Constitution, our Forefathers, and the best of America and western civilization. Like the autocrats and tyrants he admires and seeks to emulate, Obama seeks power and wealth without deserving it. Therefore, he must grab the wealth and power he lusts after. Some call it Chicago politics but that is a cop out. Sure he is as crooked as Chicago politicians, but it goes much deeper than that. He has seized power over our banks, insurance companies, brokerages, the Federal Reserve, our automobile companies, and the massive resources and power of the federal government. He owns the mainstream media and uses it to stifle honest disagreements and dissent, two things necessary to maintain freedom. He opposes the Constitution in general, but especially the Bill of Rights. Obama wants control of our health care, education, and financial resources to solidify his power. It is not by accident that he is trying to indoctrinate our school children.

Every tyrant seems to do the same things: take control of the military (he has that by virtue of his office), outlaw free speech and guns, control the press, control the schools, separate the children from their parents to indoctrinate them, control the economy and means of wealth, outlaw and punish honest dissent by free people, crush his opposition, and build a corrupt, pervasive, and powerful group of supporters and thugs based on race, politics, common interests, and shared wealth and power. He needs a Praetorian Guard, and finally, all tyrants want to hold on to their power. Look for more and more crises and support for a Constitutional convention and removal of the two term limit for the president.

Obama has achieved control of the military, control of the press, control of the economy, he is punishing dissent, he has assembled a group of supporters and thugs, he is attacking his opposition, and is now making power grabs for the nation’s health care, and for the schools and our nation’s children. As evidenced by his lack of intelligence and education and ability to speak or write on his own, Obama needs his supporters, thugs, and Praetorian Guard (Red Guard, SS, KGB, or the equivalent perhaps based on racist thugs, crooked unions, and Acorn).

Our present Republican Party lacks the strength, character, patriotism, and honesty to oppose Obama. Our first step in defeating the coming tyranny is to rejuvenate the Republican Party based on its conservative base and Constitutional principles. This must be accomplished well before 2012 and a good part of it before the 2010 elections if Americans are to take control of Congress and the White House and restore freedom, liberty, equal justice under law, and the strength and culture of our nation. We need people like Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and perhaps Sarah Palin if we are to succeed. In the meantime we must stop four Obama power grabs: 1) health care, 2) education, 3) emergency powers to rule outside the Constitution and its Bill of Rights, and 4) amnesty for illegal aliens and an open border.

For Now, Extremist Appointees are Sacrificed when they Threaten the Obama Administration’s Plans

This happens when a tyrant has not yet consolidated his power to the point where public opinion can be completely ignored and those opposing the extremists can be arrested and imprisoned. For the past week or so, Obama has disappeared from public view.

Is he at an undisclosed location sulking like a spoiled child after his political defeats?

Is he in hiding with his radical and extremist anti-American advisors and handlers preparing for the national school children indoctrination on Sept 8th?

Is he on another vacation to avoid the spectacle of a public breakdown?

Is he holed up in a bunker with his socialist co-conspirators working to forge a new initiative to revitalize the push for socialism in America?

Is he in a retreat with his mentors and handlers (such as Wright, and Ayres) to re-establish a public persona of competence?

Something is going on and it does not bode well for America.

The Grasshopper and the Ant-New and Exciting!

Versions of this have been circulating for years. The following new, 2009 version is exciting and very up to date. Enjoy.

OLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!


MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The national gang of cockroaches, ticks, flies, fleas, and killer bees take half his supplies and the local gang takes another 10% of his supplies and then taxes his home 10% more to take care of themselves and the grub worms, maggots, roaches, ticks, flies, fleas, tapeworms, and termites who no longer work for a living. The good ant soldiers on supporting himself and the local and national gangs. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays as he drinks the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving. The NY Times, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, ABC and others all show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Tapeworm Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Leeches Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share. Cockroach Obama gives a speech and teach-in to all school children in the nation and says we must hope for more grasshoppers and change the ant’s selfish ways. He also says we must redistribute more of his food and wealth. Blow fly members of the news media swoon, tingle, and then buzz off to support their Cockroach in Chief.

Finally, the EEOC enforcement hornets draft the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and locusts, and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government. The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Keep stockpiling bug spray and flypaper and be VERY careful how you vote in 2010.

Imagine if we had a trendy and self-centered man without scruples, morals, or good sense, kind of like a much smarter Bill Clinton, as president and his wife was a loony leftist of the Nancy Pelosi breed. The recent election in Japan was a big win for the leftists and this is the kind of Prime Minister they elected. The “First Lady” is, well, she is unbelievable.

Miyuki Hatoyama, wife of Japan's Prime Minister-elect, Yukio Hatoyama, is a lifestyle guru, a macrobiotics enthusiast, an author of cookery books, a retired actress, a divorcee, and a fearless clothes horse for garments of her own creation, including a skirt made from Hawaiian coffee sacks. But there is more, much more. She has travelled to the planet Venus. And she was once abducted by aliens.

The 62-year-old also knew Tom Cruise in a former incarnation – when he was Japanese – and is now looking forward to making a Hollywood movie with him. "I believe he'd get it if I said to him, 'Long time no see', when we meet," she said in a recent interview. But it is her claim in a book entitled "Very Strange Things I've Encountered" that she was abducted by aliens while she slept one night 20 years ago, that has suddenly drawn attention following last Sunday's poll.

Wondering What it Means

I wonder what all of this means. I hope it is not a drastic turn to socialism and the loss of our best ally in Asia. But, we all know how quick a socialist can turn a country from a course of economic stability and freedom to one of rapidly evolving socialism and tyranny.

By the way, have you heard about Hussein Obama and his teleprompter speaking to the nation’s school children on September 8th? Does this remind anyone of Hitler Youth or Stalinist schools to separate children from their families? If I had children in school, I would keep them home next Tuesday.

Opium Production in Afghanistan is Down

In 2002, the number of acres of land in opium production (used to make heroin) was about 203,000 acres (representing the pre-Bush control of the country). Opium production rose to almost 500,000 acres in 2007 (peak of the Bush years) and is estimated at 304,000 acres in the first year of the Obama Administration. Time will tell if Obama is really reducing opium production.

But, following his historical treatment of drugs and drug smuggling into the US from Mexico, Bush’s record is consistent. Seems he never met a drug cartel or drug smuggler he didn’t like (remember what he did to Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean for shooting a drug smuggler in his behind? Remember his pathological open border policies?)

AARP Re-Spinning its Message after Losing 60,000 over Supporting Socialized Medicine

AARP is now starting a media blitz to say they are impartial in health care debate.

If that had been a 6 million loss of members perhaps AARP might even back off from supporting socialized medicine rather than only being neutral on Obamacare. With 40 million members, 60,000 resignations is impressive but not enough to really hurt AARP. Come on folks, cant we get another million or so people to quit AARP?

Social Security Annuitants not to Receive COLA’s this Year

Inflation is near zero so the government is planning not to give retirees a COLA this year. Ok you say, sounds fair. But the military will probably get a boost of between 2 and 3 percent. Also, federal government employees will also get a raise in the 2 to 2.4 percent range. With locality pay, this means a majority of government workers could get up to 16-18 percent raises.

Now, add performance bonuses and the federal government employees will do very well during our worst depression since the Great Depression in the 1930’s. No wonder the retired people among us (those that worked and carried the load all their lives) are afraid of unfair treatment under socialized medicine. They already are getting this kind of treatment in their SS checks.

My Thoughts on Socialist Obama and Leftist Democrats and their Priorities

I guess this proves that under Obama and the leftists Democrats big government is THE priority, not our retired folks or our troops. To use a cliché, the taxpayers who pay every cent for Social Security, the military, and the expanding federal government are “not even on the radar.”

More change for the worse and less hope for the future. Or should that be crushing hope for the future and changing for the worse? How about “The Wrecking of America”?
