Supreme Court Overturns Racist Judge Sotomayor

The little hope I have for the Supreme Court in maintaining equal justice under law just went up by about 1 half of 1 percent. Sotomeyor’s opinion that racist hiring to exclude white candidates was called for under federal law was overturned by the Supreme Court.

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court ruled Monday that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

New Haven was wrong to scrap a promotion exam because no African-Americans and only two Hispanic firefighters were likely to be made lieutenants or captains based on the results, the court said Monday in a 5-4 decision. The city said that it had acted to avoid a lawsuit from minorities.

The ruling could alter employment practices nationwide and make it harder to prove discrimination when there is no evidence it was intentional.

"Fear of litigation alone cannot justify an employer's reliance on race to the detriment of individuals who passed the examinations and qualified for promotions," Justice Anthony Kennedy said in his opinion for the court. He was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas.

Forget the Term Reverse Discrimination

Racial discrimination is wrong. There is no wiggle room; fancy words such as reverse discrimination, quotas, affirmative action, and others are cover terms for illegal, sinful, and counterproductive racial discrimination.

The Supreme Court’s statement that “Fear of litigation alone cannot justify an employer’s reliance on race to the detriment of individuals who passed the examinations and qualified for promotions” reduces the power of thugs and their intimidation in forcing racial discrimination. This is a small, but very important, step for equal justice under law in America. It will make deliberate racial discrimination in employment harder to justify.

Sotomayor Overturned and Shown to be Racist

By reversing her support for blatant racial discrimination, the Supreme Court is telling us Sotomayor is unqualified and that racist appointments are racist acts. Those who support racist acts have no place in America, certainly not on the Supreme Court. Obama should withdraw her nomination immediately. Failing that, Republicans in the Senate should unite and stand strong. Democrats with a belief in fair play and those who have any distaste or aversion to racism should join with Republicans and send a signal that the Supreme Court is off limits to blatant racists.

South Korea Seeks Independent Capabilities Against North Korea

Ask yourself, what you would do under the present circumstances. Suppose you were a small country allied with the United States for your “mutual” protection? South Korea watches as the inept Obama Administration does nothing time after time even as North Korea threatens to obliterate the USA. South Korea watches Obama betray Israel and support its terrorist enemies. South Korea watches Obama cut funds and support for the US missile defense systems just as Iran and North Korea are developing the means to deliver nuclear weapons to the US. South Korea recognizes that Obama is a phony.

The South Korean military plans to speed up efforts to deploy ground, air and naval weapons systems for use in strikes against key facilities in North Korea in the event of war, the Ministry of National Defense said Friday.

The plan is part of a revised version of a military modernization package. The ministry unveiled the revision of the Defense Reform 2020 initiative drawn up in 2005.

The updated plan is focused on securing independent capabilities to remove North Korea's asymmetrical military threat of nuclear and missile programs by deploying sophisticated surveillance, reconnaissance and striking assets.

In the case of an emergency, the military could conduct pre-emptive strikes against nuclear and missile facilities, an official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.

``That depends on a decision by the leadership,'' the official told reporters on condition of anonymity.

Under an integrated defense mechanism, the Air Force's multi-purpose satellite, early warning aircraft and high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles, along with a ground-based early warning radar, conduct surveillance and reconnaissance missions around the clock, according to the defense reform plan.

Once signs of unusual movement, such as missile and nuclear tests, are detected, F-15K and other advanced aircraft are to conduct surgical strikes against the relevant facilities, it says.

Both ship-based and ground-based interceptors are ready to shoot down missiles from the North, it says.

The military is considering the introduction of up-to-date SM-6 extended range active missiles, which are being developed by the U.S. Navy and Raytheon, the JCS official said.

What the Future May Hold

South Korea cannot guarantee that their best preemptive “surgical strike” will destroy all of North Korea’s nuclear capability. Only one nuclear explosion is needed to destroy Seoul and thus South Korea. South Korea must have a crash program to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

North Korea must know that the South is developing nuclear weapons to defend itself. They also know that South Korea’s industrial might, economy, and intellectual resources are far superior to their own. So the question is: Will North Korea stand idly by and let South Korea catch and surpass them in nuclear weapons strength? Or will North Korea be nutty enough to start a war and use nuclear weapons before South Korea is able to defend itself? This is a truly scary situation that Obama is not even aware exists.

What about Japan? Will Japan continue to let North Korea launch missiles over its territory and be humiliated on the international stage? Japan also knows Obama is a phony and mostly interested in furthering Muslim causes and developing a socialist tyranny in the United States.

Therefore, Japan must also be ready to stand up against North Korean nuclear intimidation and attack. Japan is a world power in all but military aspects. Will Japan decide it must be ready to defend itself from madmen in North Korea and the might of their Chinese ally? China is too powerful for Japan to fight it alone.

A strategic alliance between Russia and Japan would provide Japan with the opportunity to defend itself from North Korea while minimizing the threat of Chinese intervention.

Finally, are Obama’s ignorance, inexperience, and incompetence bringing an end to American power in the Far East? Will our power once again shrink to Alaska and Hawaii to be replaced in Asia and the Pacific by the military might of China, Russia, and Japan?

Next year, Arizona voters will be asked to determine whether to ban government use of preferential treatment based on race and gender when it comes to employment, education and contracting.

On June 22, the Senate passed SCR1031 in a 17-11 party-line vote favoring the Republican majority. The measure mimics a 2008 ballot initiative effort that was ultimately disqualified due to a lack of sufficient number of valid signatures of Arizona voters.

The 2008 measure, dubbed the Arizona Civil Rights Initiative, was led by former California Board of Regent Ward Connerly.

After the proposal received approval from the Senate, Connerly held a press conference with several legislators in support of the ballot referendum.

Connerly, who is black, said proposals that ban preferential treatment programs based on race and gender do so in the “mirror” image of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 that outlawed racial segregation and solidified equal rights for all citizens.

“This is government that we’re allowing to discriminate on race and gender,” said Connerly, adding, “It isn’t reverse discrimination, it’s discrimination.”

Connerly’s legislative efforts were led by Rep. Steve Montenegro, a freshman lawmaker from Litchfield Park, and Sen. Russell Pearce of Mesa. Both introduced identical referendums, although Pearce’s version was substituted in place of Montenegro’s on the Senate floor.

Montenegro said he believed the referendum will eliminate racial- and gender-preference programs operated by the cities of Phoenix and Tucson, and others in use by Arizona’s universities.

The preferential programs send minorities a message that they are inferior and in need of special treatment to be successful, he said.

A Most Effective Statement of the Crime of Discrimination through Affirmative Action

You won’t find plain English statements of the evil intent and evil result of affirmative action like these often.

“This is government that we’re allowing to discriminate on race and gender,” said Connerly, adding, “It isn’t reverse discrimination, it’s discrimination.”

And

“The preferential programs send minorities a message that they are inferior and in need of special treatment to be successful”, he said.

Arizona voters have an opportunity to bring equal justice under law to their state in 2010. It will be a good opportunity to approve civil rights that have less chance of being overturned by radical judges as it is carefully crafted and specific to racial and sexual discrimination. If successful, this will bring justice to one state only, but it is a start. Perhaps one day it will go national and include the worst offender, our federal government.

Earlier it was revealed that Supreme Court nominee Ms. Sotomayor was a racist. source. She is a member of La Raza (the Race) which is equivalent to being a member of other racist hate groups such as the Black Panthers, supremacist skin heads, or Nation of Islam. It was revealed Friday that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor belongs to the Belizean Grove, a highly selective club for women only.

We don't care if nominees belong to all-male or all-female clubs, but a double standard is in play. Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr.'s supposed membership in an all-male eating club while an undergraduate at Princeton became an issue during his 2006 Supreme Court confirmation hearing. When Judge D. Brooks Smith was nominated to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in 2001, his confirmation was held up for almost a year in part because he belonged to an all-male fishing and gun club.

The opposition to all-male clubs isn't anything new. The American Bar Association's Canons of Judicial Ethics stipulates that judges "shall not" be members of any organization that unfairly discriminates based on gender.

We hoped that President Obama's election would bring an end to identity politics. Picking Judge Sotomayor for the Supreme Court has re-emphasized race and gender as central issues in politics today.

The Incredible Giant Double Standard is Growing

If Sotomayor were a white male she would have been withdrawn as quickly as Tom Daschle was when he was found cheating on his taxes. But alas, the double standard for racism, gender discrimination, lack of qualifications, and sordid history of quotes and bad judgment continues to grow.

If you are a Democrat, whatever you do is not racist, discrimination, sexist, or disqualifying in any way. However if you are Republican, then it is a fore drawn conclusion that you are unfit because of racism, sexism, stupidity, and your general existence. To be confirmed by the liberals in control, a Republican is assumed guilty of all these things until proven innocent. Conversely, no amount of rock-solid evidence of racism, sexism, incompetence, or stupidity can disqualify a Democrat. Sotomayor is probably the best example of this double standard ever. She is racist, sexist, unqualified, dull, and incredibly biased.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the Republicans in the Senate had enough courage to do the right thing for once?

1. He is too much of a sissy to pick on other adults, he seeks 14 year old girls (or even 18 year old girls if you believe his lies) because he thinks they are easy targets. Like most bullies, Davey Wavey runs away when the boys come out to play.

Politics and the Environment

There are several basic truths in human societies. Seems there are big differences in peoples’ freedoms, education, intelligence, honesty, decency around the world; i.e. all the things we used to mean by culture and civilization. But, some things transcend these differences and appear to be universal.

For example, the Peter Principle is.
“Theory that people rise in their career in every hierarchy to the level of their own incompetence; based on the book The Peter Principle and Why Things Always Go Wrong by Lawrence J. Peter. Work in organizations is accomplished by those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence.” source
Counter examples are very rare; I have never personally seen any.

Politics and the Environment

Things in our environment operate under the rules of nature and our theoretical descriptions of them. For example, we use physical principles such as the conservation of mass, energy, and momentum. There is a hierarchy called the food chain which describes how from microscopic levels to the largest plants and animals on earth there are producers and consumers; some organisms produce food, for example, plants by photosynthesis use carbon dioxide, water, energy, etc. and produce oxygen and biomass and in turn are consumed by animals. And so it goes from microbes to elephants. This is perhaps better described as the “web of life” rather than “food chain” because there are feedback processes and interdependencies of life forms on each other.

With 6 billion people depending upon the environment to support them, concepts of a pristine and untouched “environment” are fantasy not reality. Therefore, conservation, defined as the wise use of natural resources, should be our first environmental goal. The word wise in the definition of conservation implies care, regeneration, and sustainability for future generations based on sound scientific principles and ethics. Conservation also encompasses environmental protection and restoration as part of its meaning.

The Anti-Conservationists

Environmentalism and environmental activism have come to mean the diabolical use of the environment to further political agendas (usually liberal). I say diabolical because putting rotten politics ahead of conserving the web of life we all depend upon surely is the devil’s work. There is no better example than Al Gore and his exploitation of the environment via global warming alarmism. He uses the environment to gain wealth and fame regardless of the damage his greed, lust, and hubris bring to the environment.

So here is a principle I have found to be generally true. Those who use concerns for the environment to further political and personal agendas are anti-conservationists and lack ethics, knowledge, common decency, common sense, and genuine concern for the environment. Anti-conservationists ultimately bring destruction, not conservation, to our environment.

Some Steps for the Future

We need scientists and science free of the anti-conservationism of politics. Unfortunately, this is more a fantasy than a reality as long as government funds science. As long as research budgets and success in science are dependent on the anti-conservationist whims of politicians, the Peter Principle will control priorities and funding of public science and research. It will also control which politicized scientists get priority funding. Hansen at NASA is the best example of this. See here for example.

Make no mistake about it; science is way too important to ever be free of politics. But, keeping science, including environmental science, as free as possible to work independently under a sound peer review system should be our highest goal. We must recognize the Peter Principle and anti-conservationists and work to keep them out of our public policy and control of environmental science, legislation, management, and regulation.

There is a saying that we get the government we deserve. If that is true, we also get the science we deserve. We need to elect principled conservatives who meet the test of being genuine conservationists dedicated to smaller government and more freedom, including freedom of thought and inquiry in science.

Sotomayor Fractures her Ankle

The first part of this was posted here earlier. Some introduction is needed before we discuss the "lady" breaking her ankle.

I thought the reforms of the 40’s – 60’s put an end to blatant race-driven politics. Race and racism as legitimate qualifications for government ended with the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Or it did until America’s big mistake of electing Obama’s came along. Obama has made racism a part of the national government again. This is so sad, millions of us in American worked hard to get “race, creed, religion, and national origin” out of consideration as qualifications for public office.

As President Obama's Supreme Court nominee comes under heavy fire for allegedly being a "racist," Judge Sonia Sotomayor is listed as a member of the National Council of La Raza, a group that's promoted driver's licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and no immigration law enforcement by local and state police.

According the American Bar Association, Sotomayor is a member of the NCLR, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S.

Meaning "the Race," La Raza also has connections to groups that advocate the separation of several southwestern states from the rest of America.

Over the past two days, Sotomayor has been heavily criticized for her racially charged statement: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

The remark was actually made during a 2001 speech at the University of California's Berkeley School of Law. The lecture was published the following year in the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal.

There You have It

Being a member of a racist group such as La Raza (The Race) is comparable to being a member of the KKK or some neo-Nazi skin head movement. Fortunately, neither the KKK nor the skin heads have any real membership or power. This is not so with La Raza, they are about to put one of their own race (Raza) on the Supreme Court.

It Would be The First Good State Government Action from California in Decades

Could California become the first state in the nation to do away with welfare?

That doomsday scenario is on the table as lawmakers wrestle with a staggering $24.3 billion budget deficit.

I don’t believe it has the chance of a snowball in hell of happening, but wouldn’t it be wonderful? Millions would have to sober up and look for work, more millions would have to go back to Mexico or invade California’s unfortunate bordering states. I guess there would always be losers; the drug dealers, booze merchants, fast food joints, boom-box, and car mega-stereo sellers. But then, I don’t really care if those people have to cut back on their largess from the taxpayers.

Gosh it would be good if the welfare people had to work and save and do without all the taxpayer goodies to see how taxpayers work and live. I am for any government cuts that slow the rate of redistribution of money from working taxpayers to parasites.

Alas, it will never happen but one can wish.

Russia Newspaper Sounding the Warning on Obama and America’s Economic Collapse

Pravda means “Truth” in Russian. Throughout the cold war in the Soviet Union (USSR) nothing was farther from the truth than the official Communist Party newspaper, Pravda.

It was so ridiculous and so false and so biased toward Russia and Marxism that it was actually comical like “Bagdad Bob”, the Iraqi press secretary, who kept denying the invasion right up until Bagdad fell and who made a laughing stock of himself and Iraq.

Pravda was as biased and as false, but a lot more comical, than the NYT is today. It was the official Communist Party organ, and had a monopoly, in the bad old USSR.

How things change. Now the Russian Pravda seems to be a better newspaper to get the truth in America than most of our own newspapers.

Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe. source.

In the German Weimar Republic as in current day Zimbabwe the price of bread could double in a single day or less. The rate of hyperinflation was so bad there are folk tales of trading a wheelbarrow full of paper money for a loaf of bread. That is, when bread was available.

Germany was a powerful and advanced nation; their economic and social collapse brought on chaos and finally Hitler, the Nazis (German National Socialist Workers Party), and the horrors of WW II. Zimbabwe in a blatant racist move expelled or murdered its citizens of European origin and collapsed into a tyrannical hell hole. But thank God, they have no power or reach to cause a world war.

Obama’s outreach to our enemies really is working fine. China is ascending, Russia is growing belligerent, and the Muslim world knows their man is in the White House.

Obama’s policies have really improved the situation in Iran and North Korea too. You might read such nonsense in American newspapers, but not in Pravda.

Unlike the bad old days in the USSR, Pravda may be trying to live up to its name today.

Pravda is sounding warnings of Barak Obama and of his policies causing America’s collapse. Americans would be well served to save the NYT for its outhouses and take Pravda’s warnings seriously.
