Stumblebums and Amateurs Obama and Clinton Insult Queen Elizabeth

This seems inconceivable. How could we treat the Queen this way? Ignorant and arrogant incompetents playing at government show that they can mess up any occasion and embarrass America at will.

Left Out of D-Day Events, Queen Elizabeth Is Fuming source
By JOHN F. BURNS
Published: May 27, 2009

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth is not amused.

Indeed, she is decidedly displeased, angry even, that she was not invited to join President Obama and France’s president, Nicolas Sarkozy, next week at commemorations of the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, according to reports published in Britain’s mass-circulation tabloid newspapers on Wednesday. Pointedly, Buckingham Palace did not deny the reports.

The queen, who is 83, is the only living head of state who served in uniform during World War II. As Elizabeth Windsor, service number 230873, she volunteered as a subaltern in the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service, training as a driver and a mechanic. Eventually, she drove military trucks in support roles in England.

While serving, she met the supreme Allied commander for the D-Day landings, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, and developed a fondness for him, according to several biographies. This prompted Queen Elizabeth, who was crowned in June 1953, to say in later years that he was the American president with whom she felt most at ease.

What would it have Hurt Obama to do the Right Thing?

It would have been the proper, and more important, the right thing to do. The Queen actually contributed to the war effort by serving in WW II.

Once again, Clinton, who liked to bill herself as the smartest woman in America, is indecent and it shows in her ignorance and diplomatic incompetence. As Secretary of State she is supposed to be one of Obama’s main handlers and managers. Apparently she is nearly as incompetent as her boss. Together they snub the most important surviving figure of WW II. Maybe it is time for Michelle to be ashamed again.

Newt Gingrich is Unfit to be President and Has Lost his Way

Here are some Highlights and Examples

1) First there was the Fawning over Hillary Clinton in 2008 source.

Newt Gingrich’s on-again, off-again adulation of Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to be back on.

The leader of the 1994 Republican revolution — who as House speaker in the mid 1990s clashed fiercely with then-first lady Clinton and her husband, Bill Clinton — attributed her surprise victory in New Hampshire to the Democratic presidential candidate’s courage, integrity and openness.

After Clinton’s third-place finish in the Jan. 3 Iowa Democratic caucuses, “it would have been very easy for her to have broken, accepted defeat,” Gingrich said in a weekly podcast e-mailed to supporters.

“Instead, starting on Saturday night, she fought back with greater and greater intensity, and she opened herself up," Gingrich went on. “She talked as a person, without all the protection, without all the discipline, and she became more and more appealing.”

Gingrich said that shift demonstrated “the courage to learn” and enabled the New York senator to grow “in the space of three or four days to a much more attractive, much more aggressive and much more appealing candidate.”

Here we had Newt and Hillary with Hillary looking pretty good in the campaign and Newt sucking up like the Iraqis who threw their weapons away and kissed the hands and boots of Coalition soldiers nearly 2 decades earlier. This disgusting apple polishing proved Newt was composed of weaker stuff.

2) Then there was Newt’s Conversion on the Road to Boston source.

My esteem for the political intellect of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is second to no one's. That said, by appearing in the latest Al Gore propaganda commercial, he joins a disturbingly growing number of ostensibly green-turning Republicans -- our president among them -- who thereby cast doubt upon their own conservative resolve.

Harder still to reconcile is this: unlike that given by George Bush last week, Newt's explanation for his apparent duplicity rings excruciatingly hollow and ultimately fraudulent. Leaving dumbfounded admirers to wonder whether they'll ever learn why -- and why now?

The ad by Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection features Newt sitting on a Loveseat (of all things) with Nancy Pelosi (of all people) with the Capitol Building (of all places) looming large in the background. After cursory introductions and each confessing that they don't "always see eye-to-eye," Newt looks into the camera and states "but we do agree our country must take action to address climate change." [my emphasis]

Now, while this may have shocked many viewers who thought only the amphibious newt to be green, in reality it didn't abruptly crawl out of a pond.

During an April 2007 debate on the subject with the insufferable John Kerry [video], Newt opened by effectively ceding the point of anthropogenic global warming to his not-so-jolly green opponent. Even before Kerry could utter a single word of eco-babble, Newt admitted his thoroughly off beam conviction

"that the evidence is sufficient that we should move towards the most effective possible steps to reduce carbon loading in the atmosphere."

Newt was again blatantly pandering to the Democrats he thought would win the election and maybe give him a plumb appointment in the new Administration. No class and no honor huh Newt? At this point Newt had permanently strayed over the line from Republican to RINO.

3) The Latest: Newt On Powell and the “…traditional Southern, right wing states…”source.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich backed Dick Cheney’s critique of the Obama administration’s anti-terror policy Sunday, calling it one of several ‘big mistakes’ being made in national security by the Democrats.

But he broke ranks with the former vice president over Colin Powell, saying that the former Secretary of State belonged in the party and that Republicans should be the party of the ‘big tent’ even if fights broke out in that tent from time to time.

“I don't want to pick a fight with Dick Cheney, but I think, the fact is the Republican Party has to be a broad party that appeals across the country and that does so--I mean, we have the governor of Vermont, we have the governor of Rhode Island,” Gingrich said.

“These, these are not states that are traditional Southern, right wing states --- to be a national party you have to have a big enough tent that you inevitably have fights inside the tent … I think Republicans are going to be very foolish if they run around deciding that they're going to see how much they can purge us down to the smallest possible base."

Asked if he’s thinking about running for president in 2012, Gingrich said he’d be glad to accept an invitation to discuss that possibility “in early 2011. I'm not going to think about it till 2011.”

To Newt, who has caught a severe case of Potomac Fever, and can no longer think outside of the Washington, DC Beltway, Obama-supporter Powell is OK but the Southern states are traditionally right wing states. Again, Newt is 180 degrees out of phase with reality and the conservatives who form the Republican base.

This is clearly a case of biased and leftward thinking:…”traditional Southern, right wing states…” The southern states are mainstream Republican, and Republican unity is not at all served by Newt’s pejorative.

Mr. Gingrich, sorry to disabuse your myopic, self important, and DC-centric view, but Powell is an Obama supporter, based on race, and has no Republican core principles; most notable conservatism, equal opportunity for all, and loyalty.

What these Three Examples Show
There are many more examples of Newt’s downfall, but the three examples above are enough to demonstrate it beyond a doubt.

First, Newt will crawl in with Hillary or anyone else he sees as winning the presidential election. If he had been more perceptive, no doubt he would have been an Obama supporter. Newt bet on the wrong Democrat horse and lost. What in the devil makes him think he still have a place as a Republican leader? He is out of touch, out of phase, and a RINO. Newt belongs over there in the Democrat party with Hillary and Kerry, Powell, and others of a like mind and lack of core values.

Newt, betray your beliefs and your party if you wish, but then don’t turn around and betray the Democrats and run back and hope to be a Republican president. You bet on the wrong horse (Hillary) and lost your loyalty and integrity to the Republicans who treated you very well.

Newt, you are a phony and an opportunist. You falsely profess belief in global warming when the Democrats are ahead and then want to be a Republican again. Methinks your lying, spinning, and sucking up landed you right where you belong—with the Democrats.

Obama’s Race-Driven Politics Dominant in Washington

I thought the reforms of the 40’s – 60’s put an end to blatant race-driven politics. Race and racism as legitimate qualifications for government ended with the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Or it did until America’s big mistake of electing Obama’s came along. Obama has made racism a part of the national government again. This is so sad, millions of us in American worked hard to get “race, creed, religion, and national origin” out of consideration as qualifications for public office.

Racism is back and with a vengeance. source.

Sonia Sotomayor 'La Raza member'

American Bar Association lists Obama choice as part of group

As President Obama's Supreme Court nominee comes under heavy fire for allegedly being a "racist," Judge Sonia Sotomayor is listed as a member of the National Council of La Raza, a group that's promoted driver's licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and no immigration law enforcement by local and state police.

According the American Bar Association, Sotomayor is a member of the NCLR, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S.

Meaning "the Race," La Raza also has connections to groups that advocate the separation of several southwestern states from the rest of America.

Over the past two days, Sotomayor has been heavily criticized for her racially charged statement: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

The remark was actually made during a 2001 speech at the University of California's Berkeley School of Law. The lecture was published the following year in the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal.

There You have It

Being a member of a racist group such as La Raza (The Race) is comparable to being a member of the KKK or some neo-Nazi skin head movement. Fortunately, neither the KKK nor the skin heads have any real membership or power. This is not so with La Raza, they are about to put one of their own race (Raza) on the Supreme Court.

How typical that Obama finds a nasty woman full of hate and racism to nominate for the Supreme Court when he could nominate one of the many qualified, loyal, and patriotic women who really believe in America. Race-driven politics once again dominates the national political scene.

California Is In Big Trouble. 2. What Caused it and What’s Ahead?

Details on What Really Caused the Crisis in California

You can’t blame it all on the recession. Open borders, political correctness, and misunderstanding of the environment and how to protect it have all contributed to California’s bankruptcy. Look to liberalism for the causes.

Illegal Aliens

It is hard to say how much is spent on illegal aliens in California because governments at all levels want to minimize the problems and maximize the potential illegal alien votes (after amnesty) and the number of cheap workers. Controlling the border and denying public services to illegal aliens would solve most of California’s budget problems. But there are other problems that must be fixed or budget deficits will continue to grow in the future.

Taxes

It seams liberals (including RINO’s and Republicans who really want to be Democrats) cannot get it through their thick skulls that there is no free lunch. Every one of their ill thought out schemes based on racism, sexism, and other discrimination, politically correctness, false economic principles, and their misunderstanding of the environment and how to protect it result in higher taxes and a shrinking tax base. From the article cited in Part 1:
“A separate commission is expected to release a proposal to rework the state's tax structure, which is vulnerable to booms and busts in California's economy because it relies heavily on high-income earners.”

This “sock it to the rich” philosophy of taxation does not work. Lower taxes on the taxpayers who make the economy healthy are needed. California has lost billions of dollars of tax revenues because individuals and businesses will flee economic oppression in the form of unrealistic tax burdens and illogical environmental policies. To have responsible and patriotic citizens at all economic levels, all citizens must participate in paying income and other taxes and all must have accountability for their own actions. There can never be a free lunch. IT DOES NOT WORK.

Discrimination Based on Race, Gender, etc.

Racism screened by political correctness, diversity goals, affirmative action, racial quotas, set asides in contracting, disadvantaged areas, HUB zones, etc, etc. allow an unbelievable number of victims to swamp the courts, prisons, schools, health care, welfare, and other public assistance programs at the combined costs of 10’s of billions of dollars per year.

These race-based policies also allow for preferences in everything from births to burials. Here is the nub of race-based (and gender, culture, sexual preference) policies in education, hiring, promotions, and elections. If one is selected by race rather than measures of potential, demonstrated accomplishment, education, intelligence, ambition, reliability, etc., then these characteristics necessary for success are not relevant to the selection and performance of a race-based individual or group.

If one is selected for a job to meet a diversity quota then meeting that quota essentially meets the job requirements. Performance, accountability, qualifications--nothing else matters in reality. This is not an exaggeration. If an agency of government at any level does not meet the affirmative action goals in hiring, promotions, etc. they will feel the full weight of the US Justice Department and court systems with such things as the 4/5 rule, lawsuits, consent decrees, and mandated hiring until the race-based, gender-based, cultural-based bureaucratic rules are met. No agency of government can resist.

It is much the same in the private sector. Companies that deal with government at any level almost always must meet the same general diversity, affirmative action, etc. rules of the government or they won’t be eligible for contracts, grants, or any public funds; and they will be subject to lawsuits. To be safe, most companies just copy the federal, state, and local government rules and policies and adopt them in their business practices. It is cheaper than being ruined and punished and dealing with ever-mounting legal costs. Most unions eagerly adopt the government standards and policies. It is more protection from the market forces and more political power for them.

Because governments and businesses essentially operate under the same biased and discriminatory rules, those seeking jobs or contracts, grants, loans, etc. must also abide by them. Thus, the evils of discrimination in favor of one’s race, gender, culture, sexual orientation, and their resulting plethora of rules and guidelines affect everyone. Of course, selection, evaluation, promotion, and retention based on diversity goals, not merit based goals, means that the inefficiency, size, and remoteness of the government all increase. The total cost is incalculable except through observations of its economic and social results.

Radical Environmentalism as a Political Tool

Illogical and emotionally based environmental views and policies bring on a host of economic problems associated with the environment. Science-based environmental protection and sound conservation principles would save California billions of dollars and help preserve their wonderful environment. A few brief examples are sufficient.

1. MTBE as a Gasoline Additive

The federal government and California passed laws requiring oxygenated fuels to reduce air pollution. One additive selected, MTBE, polluted the groundwater. The result was squealing and lawsuits to replace MTBE. It seems that for political reasons, ethanol (a bio-fuel) is now the gasoline additive of choice. This time the environmental problems were shifted to farmlands where several things happened. Lands best suited for livestock grazing or woodlots were converted to corn production to provide ethanol. The results: increased soil erosion and water pollution from sediment, agricultural chemicals, and the use of food for fuels. Reasoned, scientific determination of gasoline improvements would have prevented the problems of MTBE and ethanol. Alas, environmental reason is absent from radical environmentalists bent on using the environment as a political tool. They care not about environmental protection and resource conservation.

2. Wasting Resources on Unimportant or Fantasy Environmental Problems

Every dollar and every minute spent on global warming alarmism has three major negative impacts. 1) Resources are drained and unavailable for real environmental problems such as air and water quality and protection of soil, plant, and animal natural resources; 2) Good science and good scientists are driven from the public work and dialogue; and 3) The public grows tired of alarmism, emotion, lies, and misuse of environment issues for partisan political gain. This public fatigue results in less public awareness, knowledge, and support for legitimate environmental problems.

3. Who Isn’t Tired of Airhead Celebrities with a Loony Environmental Cause?

Celebrities saving the planet by using one sheet of toilet paper, wearing a “vegan belt buckle”, or jetting around the planet making ill-informed speeches at the cost of megatons of fuel, all reduce our hopes for reasonable dialogue and solutions to environmental problems.

So what’s the Outlook for California’s Future?

I believe the outlook if bleak. Obama and his Clinton era radicals will not let California solve its own problems, nor will they deal with the tax burden, unfair discrimination at all levels of society, whacky environmental laws and policies, or maintaining state sovereignty. The thinking and policies behind mistakes made in California are a large part of the basis for the Obama Administration’s rush to socialism.

California Is In Big Trouble. 1. What Happened?

Background

On May 19, California Taxpayers Said Enough is Enough—No More tax Hikes

Political abuse of the public and public trust has led to a push back on taxes for at least 3 decades. From Proposition 13 to protect private property in 1978 to the resounding “no more taxes” in 2009, taxpayers have been sending a message. It has yet to be heard. If Obama can keep his big nose out of California and not tell us “it is too big to fail”, then perhaps California can recover. A federal bailout will spread the cancer like wildfire. It will also mean the end of state sovereignty and the end of the republican form of government in America.

While not conclusive in and of itself, the following article on Blue States and unemployment rates support similar findings which have been coming out and reported for years. For example, see here which is also reviewed at the link as summarized here:

Editorial Reviews
From Booklist
*Starred Review* Classics professor Hanson is also, like generations of his family before him, a fruit farmer in California's central valley. He has employed immigrants, seen them flood his community during the last 30 years of mass flight from Mexico, and endured the crime associated with illegal immigrants. Hanson is immensely sympathetic to poor Mexicans, however, and the most powerful chapter here outlines the harried life of the illegal alien. But he hates to see the ordered culture in which he grew up drowned by an alien inundation whose undeserving beneficiaries are Mexico's kleptocratic rulers, for whom an open border is a safety valve expelling the potential for democratic change. The four solutions to the mess that Hanson enumerates include continuing de facto open borders but insisting on rapid acculturation; patrolling the border effectively and reducing legal immigration; imposing "sweeping restrictions on immigration" and ending Mexican chauvinism in the U.S.; and allowing present policies to make California increasingly mirror an unreformed Mexico. Hanson thinks that the U.S. "still need not do everything right" to prevent social collapse in the Southwest and that the totalitarian uniformity of valueless mass culture may soften that collapse. He also sees very clearly what has brought this crisis on: the American globalist ideology's lust for cheap labor and emphasis on "raw inclusiveness" instead of "standards and taste." Ray Olson

Unemployment and Liberalism

An article in WND source points out the correlation between unemployment and liberalism.

OBAMA WATCH CENTRAL
'Blue state' unemployment 20% higher
Latest jobless figures in Democrat states bode ill for administration

Unemployment in April remained 20 percent higher in so-called "blue states" won by Democratic candidate Barack Obama in last fall's presidential election than in "red states" won by Republican candidate John McCain, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics released yesterday.

Nationwide, the unemployment rate went from 8.5 percent in March to 8.9 percent in April.

WND previously reported that if unemployment numbers in the blue states do not begin improving soon, the Democratic Party may face the prospect of 2010 mid-term election losses in both governor races and in Congress.

A national telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports has found significant Democratic Party losses and Republican Party gains over the past year in a generic congressional ballot.

Currently, the GOP and Democratic Party are vying at 40 percent to 39 percent for leadership in the Rasmussen-conducted generic congressional ballot.

Over the past year, Rasmussen has reported that Democratic support has dropped from a high of 50 percent and Republican support has risen from a low of 34 percent.

California after the Taxpayers Said No to Tax Increases on May 19, 2009 source

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The day of reckoning that California has been warned about for years has arrived.

The longest recession in generations and the defeat this week of a package of budget-balancing ballot measures are expected to lead to state spending cuts so deep and so painful that they could rewrite the social contract between California and its citizens. They could also force a fundamental rethinking of the proper role of government in the Golden State.
SNIP
The governor's cutbacks could include ending the state's main welfare program for the poor, eliminating health coverage for about 1.5 million poor children, halting cash grants for about 77,000 college students, shortening the school year by seven days, laying off thousands of state workers and teachers, slashing money for state parks and releasing thousands of prisoners before their sentences are finished.

"I understand that these cuts are very painful and they affect real lives," Schwarzenegger said. "This is the harsh reality and the reality that we face. Sacramento is not Washington — we cannot print our own money. We can only spend what we have."

He also has advocated selling state assets to raise cash, including the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and San Quentin State Prison.

The Democrats who control the Legislature do not want major spending cuts, but so far they don't have a plan for closing the deficit. And if their solution is higher taxes and more borrowing, they will probably not have enough Republican votes to get the two-thirds approval needed for passage.
SNIP
The gap has two primary causes: The state has been living beyond its means for years by spending generously on all sorts of programs that the voters, the politicians and the special interests wanted. And the recession has hammered California's economy.
SNIP
The crisis also has prompted talk of a complete overhaul of the way California government operates.

A group of business leaders and good-government groups has begun the process of calling for a convention to rewrite the California Constitution.

A separate commission is expected to release a proposal to rework the state's tax structure, which is vulnerable to booms and busts in California's economy because it relies heavily on high-income earners. The state also has few limits on what state government can spend and a small rainy day fund that can easily be raided by the politicians.

With the above statement “A separate commission is expected to release a proposal to rework the state's tax structure, which is vulnerable to booms and busts in California's economy because it relies heavily on high-income earners.”, I end Part 1 of this article.

Part 2 will focus on what really caused California’s problems and where the future might be taking them, and unfortunately, the rest of us.

In Remembrance of Those Who Have Given All

Message on the Observance of Memorial Day
May 26, 1983

Memorial Day is a time to take stock of the present, reflect on the past, and renew our commitment to the future of America.

Today, as in the past, there are problems that must be solved and challenges that must be met. We can tackle them with our full strength and creativity only because we are free to work them out in our own way. We owe this freedom of choice and action to those men and women in uniform who have served this nation and its interests in time of need. In particular, we are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free.

I don't have to tell you how fragile this precious gift of freedom is. Every time we hear, watch, or read the news, we are reminded that liberty is a rare commodity in this world.

This Memorial Day of 1983, we honor those brave Americans who died in the service of their country. I think an ancient scholar put it well when he wrote: ``Let us now praise famous men . . . All these were honored in their generation, and were the glory of their times. Their bodies are buried in peace; but their name liveth for evermore.'' As a tribute to their sacrifice, let us renew our resolve to remain strong enough to deter aggression, wise enough to preserve and protect our freedom, and thoughtful enough to promote lasting peace throughout the world.

The Health Care Scam—We Don’t Need Socialized Health Care

Here’s a bold, but true statement.
Everyone who wants health care in America can have it!
• It is federal law that a hospital emergency room cannot turn you away
• Most illegal aliens get their health care this way-everything from routine to emergency care, and ACLU, La Raza, etc. make damn sure no one asks any questions in the emergency room (lawsuit time if they do)
• All the homeless can also get health care at emergency rooms. Many, when broke or it's cold/hot outside will call 911 and get a free bed & meal for the night
• Anyone at the poverty level or below gets free health care from state welfare agencies, sometimes money from the states, but mostly funded by the federal government. For example, in California its Medi-Cal. Money and programs are also directly available from the federal government
• Children of families of up to 3 times the poverty rate are covered by SCHIP
• Medicare for people who worked and are 65 and over
• Medicaid for those who didn’t and for disabled
• If you are over the poverty level, you can afford health insurance if it’s a priority to you
• Veterans get health care
• Indian Health Service for the tribes
• Everyone who calls 911 is helped onsite or shipped to a hospital, free if you are of the dependency class, insurance otherwise
• Colleges and universities usually have some sort of student health service partly paid by tuition, the rest by taxpayers

In addition to the above list, I am sure most people can think of other direct health care or health care related services. There are private charities (some get public funds directly, all get tax breaks so taxpayers are paying a part in addition to the donors) which also help with health care.

Now as to uninsured statistics, they are very deceiving. The “uninsured” include many people from the above list. If you change jobs and are without health insurance for even one day, you are included for the entire year. And, many who can afford health insurance, especially the young and healthy, take the risk that they won’t need it and spend their money on other things. There is also the liberals’ trick of equating health insurance and “affordable” health insurance. Again, affordability for health care is all about priorities just as are restaurant meals, movies, cars, vacations, tobacco, alcohol, fancy clothes, recreational drugs, “bling-bling”, wide screen TV’s, etc., etc. Depending upon your preferences and wants, some or all of these things are affordable or not.

Who Pays

As with every other social program in America, taxpayers carry most of the load for health care. That one fourth of you out there who pay income taxes are paying for your health care and that of up to 3 other people. I say up to 3 other people because some health care is paid for by government borrowing, so it will be your income tax paying children and grandchildren who will pay for any of the 3 other people you don’t pay for already.

The income taxpayers in America are already way, way overburdened and there are limits before things collapse. Socialized health care will bust the backs of taxpayers and bring the entire health care system crashing down. Then, many will learn the true meaning of “affordable”.

Why Socialized Health Care Always Fails

On a personal note, I have traveled in many countries with nationalized health care and all are dismal failures with far inferior health services to what we already enjoy. I have personally witnessed the failure of nationalized health care in the Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the UK. I lived in Australia for a while and here is how it “worked” there. Everyone who paid taxes paid dearly for nationalized health care and it was horrible: rationed, long waits, outdated technology, poor doctors, and poor facilities. Those that worked and had to pay taxes for nationalized health care could pay extra for private health insurance. The bright side in all these countries but the UK is that private health insurance and private doctors, nurses, etc. were allowed. In the UK national health care is compulsory and one cannot have private health insurance or health care.

Why does government run health care always fail? Like all government services those receiving it somehow think federal money is free. Witness all the pork your local congressional elite bring home. Free federal money for their home state. (Aside: As Chrysler, GM, and many banks found out, federal money is not free).

With “free” federal health care the demand always out paces the supply. People will go get care for free service for things that they would never get if they had to pay for all or part of it. So demand grows. And, now with the government running health care, the bureaucracy, and number of union employees, explode and consume vast amounts of the health care budget. As always in huge government programs, efficiency is much less than provided by the private sector. So exploding demand, exploding overhead, and inefficiency make the taxpayers’ cost skyrocket. Health care continues to gobble up more and more of the federal budget so that other services such as national defense shrink. Still costs rise until a limit is approached. Then, health care rationing kicks in with unbelievable cruel, inexplicable, and horrible schemes. Old people are restricted in what expensive procedures they can receive; people diagnosed with deadly diseases which have high cure rates if treated early may wait months or years until it is too late. Or, the latest life saving technology may be unavailable because of its costs. And of course, medical education, research on new procedures, equipment, and drugs is drastically cut so the long-term prognoses for improving health care are not good. All this results in a “brain drain” of the smartest and most highly qualified doctors to other countries (up until now it was mainly the USA).

We Don’t Need Socialized Health Care-It is a Scam

America has the best health care in the world, it is universally available, and we do not need more government in our health care system—we need much less government in our health care.

Trying to Fathom the Liberal Mind – 4: Liberal Crown Jewels and a Republican Path Forward

Living Free and Living in Tyranny

Conservatives see liberty as the individual American living free to do as he wishes with himself and the wealth and property he creates by his own labor and efforts. Of course, that liberty is tempered by restrictions on taking the liberty of others and recognizing the common good. Thus, there is a need for a federal government to provide for the national defense and protect our freedom under the Constitution and its Bill of Rights. In defense of our Nation, the federal government must be strong; in the defense of our freedom and Constitution it must be constrained and ruled absolutely by the people.

Slavery is the subjection of one person to the will of another resulting in submission characterized by lack of freedom of action or of will. Historically, slavery was characterized by one class of people owning other people as slaves.

Modern slavery in Western Civilization is practiced by modern liberals and is the involuntary seizure of one persons’ freedom to benefit another person. This is accomplished by: 1) limiting a persons’ individual rights and freedom to the benefit of the government, 2) by forced confiscation of wealth and property earned by one class of persons to give to another class of persons who have not worked for their own wealth and property, and 3) by establishing a hierarchy of rights and worth among various classes comprising the population.

Thus, modern slavery in the West is more about government subjugation and enforced submission of individuals, about government “owning a large portion of the people’s liberties and wealth” based on classes of those people, and by enforced equality of outcomes by class rather than by protection of individual equality of opportunity. The distinction of “enforcing by class” rather than “protection of the individual” is a key concept.

Let’s See how Modern Government in America Enforces Subjugation and Submission by Classes

First, there is the very fact of separating our people into classes rather than recognizing them as composed of individuals. To separate our people into classes, the government must have the power to separate and to enforce that separation. This requires loss of individual freedom because individuals are separated by classes and forced to remain in those classes-they do not retain the right to remain an individual.

The tools liberal government uses to separate us into classes and to dole our differing degrees of rights and freedom to each of the classes are political correctness and the laws based on it, statutory separation by race, gender, sexual preference, age, economic status, and political affiliation to form the classes. Punitive measures are used to enforce the modern slavery such as affirmative action, quotas and set-asides, graduated income tax, welfare, and formation of biased laws and policies based on the classes. For example, special rights and privileges are given to “protected classes” and denied to the non-protected class. Hate crimes result from crimes against individuals in a protected class but not from crimes by a protected individual against individuals who are not in a protected class. This is blatant unequal justice under law. Unequal justice under law is based on a myriad of federal, state, and local laws. But, it is in the bureaucratic implementation and judicial interpretation that adds ugliness and further inequality to the enacted laws. It is possible to search the Internet and compile the laws. It is impossible to search the Internet and find all of the bureaucratic implementation tools and all the assumptions and policies based on judicial interpretation. For example, for years as a young man I was an EEO counselor and had notebooks full of government, department, and agency rules including a “Table of Protected Classes.” These documents were used to further EEO principles and to help resolve discrimination complaints. I defy anyone outside of government EEO and diversity programs to find a written version of this Table of Protected Classes.

Redistribution of wealth (in reality the forced taking of wealth and property in modern slavery) is based on the concepts that those who work and succeed and accumulate wealth and property through their own efforts are somehow an evil class. It is also based on the concept that those who are less gifted, less educated, and less capable by choice or bad decisions, those that prefer not to work hard, save, and sacrifice to produce their own wealth, and those that are unfortunate in inheriting less fitness are somehow a superior class. And thus, the superior class is entitled to take the rewards and wealth of those who do work to succeed. This sets up a system of modern slavery where the class of hard working and successful people are “owned” by the government to benefit it and those people who do not work and produce their own success.

Modern liberals support and need modern slavery to remain in power and to generate their own wealth from the “owned people”. A necessary part of modern slavery is a large dependency class to benefit from the redistribution and, thus, politically support the liberals who give them something for nothing; nothing but their loyalty and block-votes that is.

Modern conservatives believe in the Constitution and the Founding Fathers beliefs that individual liberty was an inalienable right, the government existed to protect individual liberties, that liberty could not be protected if property rights were not protected, and that tyranny could result as easily from a federal government with too much power as it could from mob rule. Thus, we were born as a republic, a representative democracy. Modern conservatives know our Founding Fathers had faith in God and their inspiration, brilliance, and leadership demonstrate the role of Judeo-Christian beliefs, including their moral codes and core values, in the founding of America.

Dependency

This is the state of being dependent upon others for your needs and thus includes the connotation of subordination.

I believe that an individual’s or group’s increasing dependence causes a corresponding decrease in their freedom. There is a classic cliché (and remember most clichés persist because they contain a large element of truth) that to lose a friend, loan money to the friend. Sadly often true. However, if the money is loaned, then repaid and on a future occasion the loan goes in the other direction, then the friendship is often maintained.

This example illustrates the difference between charity or temporary help and entitlements. Entitlements to what should be repayable loans or reciprocated charity bring horrible dependency. Dependency breeds resentment or even hatred, reduces freedom, and inevitably leads to corruption of power. Those that are given something for nothing most often do not appreciate what they are given. Rather, they often resent the givers while at the same time demanding more. Time is the corrupting element in dependency.

The longer the dependents receive what is essentially something for nothing the greater their dependence and the deeper their corruption, decay, resentment, jealousy, and loss of freedom. Ultimately, rather than seeing the generosity of those providing their gifts, the dependents see themselves as victims and feel they are not only entitled to what they are given but to whatever they want. Sadly, one cannot be free in thought or action if one is dependent. And sadder yet, the feeling of victimization robs the dependents of hope for the future because once they become victims then self improvement, success, and independence lie not within themselves but in hands of their victimizers. And, the government must protect them from their victimizers. Thus, the deeper the dependence the greater the loss of hope and freedom and the less chance for escape.

Liberals who gain power and stay in power by pandering to the dependency class in America destroy hope, and thus lives, of millions. A vicious cycle is established and our history shows that we have not found a way to break it. Pandering liberals promise more of everything to the dependency class and continually reassure them that indeed they are victims. The habits of dependency and the loss of hope and personal responsibility resulting from perceived victimization sink the dependency class deeper into reliance on government for their livelihood. Believing their only hope is through more handouts, more entitlements, and more redistribution of wealth—more something for nothing, the dependency class block-vote for liberals and, thus, complete and strengthen the vicious cycle.

Why Illegal Immigration forms the Crown Jewels in Modern Liberals’ Success in their Fight for Tyranny

No person or organization knows how many illegal aliens are in America. For the last 8-10 years we have been told over and over it is about 12 million. This is nonsense because for the last 8-10 years we have had from 1 to 3 million illegal immigrants enter America each year. Thus, the true figure is probably in the range of 20-40 million illegal aliens living in America. The modern liberals (Democrats, socialists, communists—all the same thing) want to increase the number of illegal immigrants (thus, they maintain an open border) and then when the time is right give them amnesty and citizenship. Presto! The creation of 20-40 million new members of the dependency class willing to block-vote Democrat to maintain their livelihood based on government redistribution of wealth. Thus, amnesty and citizenship for illegal aliens creates a “defeat proof” majority of votes for the Democrats and are the Crown Jewels of their plan for permanent control of government in America.

One party with power but no accountability will lead directly to tyranny. The death of the Republic and the incarceration, torture, disappearance and murder of untold thousands or millions of Americans will follow as the tyrants consolidate power and crush the opposition. The decent, free, and brave Americans are not used to slavery and tyranny and they will not yield easily. The liberal oppression and brutality will rival that of the USSR before the last patriot is murdered.

Although the above tyranny appears inevitable, there is a way out and that is to stop the liberals from illegally and immorally gaining the Crown Jewels they need to establish single party rule in America. There is hope for America and a path forward.

The Republican Party Must Remain Viable to Maintain a Two party System Necessary to Prevent Tyranny

Many have said it and fewer have demonstrated it, but the Republican Party must be solidly based on principles to remain viable and thereby to recapture our government in time to save us.

Conservative principles, based on the Constitution and the wisdom of the Founding Fathers, are in direct opposition to the principles of modern slavery of the liberals. These conservative principles must form the basis of the Republican Party if it is to recover and remain viable. Freedom, faith, hope, and charity, not forced redistribution, are needed and needed now.

We must abandon those in the party who are Republican in name only (RINO’s) and other “want to be like the Democrats” Republicans. Spin, handsome but liberal candidates, moves to the left, principles based on polling and pandering, and compromising with those that seek the death of freedom in America have no place in the Republican Party.

One simple example may help illustrate the need for a principled Republican Party. Most of us have had teachers who had principles and were tough but fair, and we have also had teachers who lacked principles, discipline in the classroom, and wasted our time with unstructured and ill prepared lessons. When you look back, it is the principled teachers who did the most to help us learn and shape our lives.

Republicans should not be like Democrats. They should not separate Americans into classes and try to create big government and dependence classes to guarantee block-voting. Republicans should stand for principles of individual freedom, individual responsibility, and the Constitution with its Bill of Rights protecting us from big government. Individual freedom and equal justice under law for all individuals will support the common good and preservation of our collective liberty and sovereignty.

Next to divine salvation, American citizenship is the greatest gift on earth. It belongs to those born here and may, through our unique generosity, be granted to some who follow the law and earn their way to citizenship through principled behavior, patriotism, and accomplishment. Amnesty cheapens this most valuable gift and will ultimately destroy America.

Republicans can only move forward to effective leadership again by following the principles outlined above and by maintaining the value of our citizenship, freedom, and sovereignty.

----------
Endnote

For more than two decades I have tried to fathom, to understand, to see some logic in the thoughts and minds of what now are commonly called liberals. Originally liberal meant open minded, tolerant of others, and favorable to maximum individual liberty.

Nowadays, liberal, especially in politics and social beliefs and policies, means exactly the opposite. Today liberals are for big government, intolerant of those who might disagree with them, and against individual liberties such as guaranteed in the First Amendment (for example, witness their suppression of free speech on university campuses and in the press, attempts to block talk radio and opinions different than their own, and to prohibit the free exercise of religion). Liberals also oppose the Second Amendment (witness their opposition to the right to bear arms).

What we call liberal today has no relationship to the original definition. Today, the term liberal is synonymous with the terms leftists, radical leftist, socialist, and communist. I will use the term liberal interchangeably with these terms. It would be foolish not to admit that there are exceptions. Some liberals are level-headed, logical, patriotic, and decent. It is the vast majority of liberals I am referring to in these essays.

Dick Cheney to the Rescue

Among a gaggle of RINO cowards and other want to be Democrats in the Republican Party, Dick Cheney is roaring like the “Lion of Wyoming” he actually is. Bill Kristol published an excellent argument many of us have been thinking or saying; but he did it much better. Here are some selected quotes source

Don't Wince. Fight!
Dick Cheney, Most Valuable Republican.
by William Kristol
05/25/2009, Volume 014, Issue 34

When accused of being too aggressive on behalf of the United States at the United Nations, Daniel Patrick Moynihan was fond of repeating a French proverb: "Cet animal est fort méchant, / Quand on l'attaque il se défend." Imagine--an animal so mean that, when attacked, it defends itself!

Dick Cheney is reminding Republicans that they need to defend themselves when attacked.

When President Obama released the Justice Department interrogation memos a month ago, Cheney denounced him for doing so. He explained why it was inappropriate and unwise to release such documents. But he did more. He didn't just defend himself and the administration in which he served. He fought back, and encouraged others to do so.

He challenged the president to release CIA memos evaluating the effectiveness of the enhanced interrogation techniques. He raised the question of whether congressional Democrats--Nancy Pelosi, for one--had known of, and at least tacitly approved of, the allegedly horrifying abuses of the allegedly lawless Bush administration.

Now, a month later, Pelosi is attacking career CIA officials for lying to Congress, and other Democrats are scrambling to distance themselves from her. Meanwhile, the Obama administration has pulled back on threats to prosecute Bush-era lawyers, reversed itself on releasing photos of alleged military abuse of prisoners, and embraced the use of military commissions to try captured terrorists. The administration now looks irresponsible when it lives up to candidate Obama's rhetoric, and hypocritical when it vindicates Bush policies the candidate attacked.
SNIP
Of course, this has resulted in some Republican political operatives' doing what they do best: complaining, on background, to the media. "As Cheney Seizes Spotlight, Many Republicans Wince," was the front-page headline in Thursday's Washington Post. Two Republican "strategists" spoke "on the condition of anonymity in order to be candid." Profiles in courage! One of them opined that Cheney is "entirely unhelpful." The other elaborated, "Even if he's right, he's absolutely the wrong messenger.  .  .  .  We want Bush to be a distant memory in the next election."

To have such a juvenile understanding of political dynamics, you'd have to be a prominent "Republican strategist." You might actually have both the Dole and McCain campaigns under your belt. Or perhaps you were one of those who encouraged the Bush White House to assume a fetal position on most issues in its second term and not fight back against slanders or defend their people, because to do so would spotlight the "wrong" issues or people.
SNIP
Now it's of course the case that Republicans have to do more than fight back. They need a forward-looking agenda in all areas. They can't just defend themselves against slanders or point out the flaws of their opponents. But they do have to fight back first.

After all, if you're behind on the scoreboard, and your defense is on the field--there's nothing better than to jam up a couple of running plays, sack the quarterback on a blitz, and force a punt from bad field position. The momentum changes as your offense takes over with a shot at putting some points on the board. Dick Cheney probably won't be the glamour quarterback of the Republican comeback. But he's proving to be a heck of a middle linebacker.

What This Means to the Republican Candidates in the Future

Neither Dick Cheney nor Rush Limbaugh is a Republican candidate, but they are leading the Republican Party. They are conservative and they have the courage to speak out in support of America. And, neither of them wants to sacrifice their country and their integrity in any futile attempt to “be more like the Democrats.”

Sarah Palin is working hard to be Governor of Alaska and to defend herself against the accusations and charges brought against her when the Obama campaign sent hundreds of agents to attack her. However, she remains the most admired candidate by the Republicans and the most feared one by the Democrats and RINO’s.

Mitt Romney is running hard, but I am somewhat troubled by his background as a Governor of one of the most liberal states in America and his role in bringing a disastrous and socialist health care plan to Massachusetts.

I don’t see any other Republican candidates out there.

Pelosi Unfit for Office, Should Leave Public Life

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House and Habitual Liar

Lying in court testimony is a felony called perjury (Ex President Clinton was disbarred in Arkansas for perjury), lying to a federal agent is a felony (Martha Stewart went to jail for lying to the FBI), and lying on any number of public documents from applications for a mortgage to job applications, to lying on voter registration are all crimes for which real people are punished.

In a democratic republic such as the United States, politicians repeatedly lying to the public should also be a serious crime. Our Founding Fathers allowed for impeachment and removal and many states have a recall mechanism. Alas, these mechanisms are very rarely used even for the most blatant liars such as Bill Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

There must be millions of decent, patriotic voters in California. But alas, they are outnumbered by the useful idiots, socialists, and other ignoramuses who keep returning people such as Pelosi to power. California is sinking, and Pelosi is one of its main symptoms.

Pelosi’s lying is moving beyond harmful and damaging to almost incredible but laughable proportions. We have heard at leas half a dozen lies about what she knew about “enhanced interrogation” measures. First she said she was never told, then she was told but didn’t know these procedures were actually used, then an aid was told and she never really understood, and on and on.

Everybody knows she is lying. But now, we have even stronger proof than the memos that she was briefed, etc.; the Obama-appointed head of the CIA , Leon Panneta says she was “briefed truthfully” and that the CIA did not mislead her. source

Nancy Pelosi needs to leave public life and probably belongs in prison for all her lying and steering contracts to her husband, and all her other unethical practices.

Mexico Leads the Way and Democrats in America Follow

In the following article out of Mexico they finally admit their biggest problem, corruption. source

Milenio (Mexico City) 5/13/09
(Portion of an op/col. by Hector Tajonar, titled “Corrupt Mexico”)

“Corruption is one of the greatest and most widespread ills of Mexican politics, since it is the cause or stimulus of the country’s deepest problems. Corruption is the basis for bad government which produces economic, educational and social underdevelopment, which results in backwardness, inequality and poverty. Insecurity and the violence arising from drug traffic and organized crime find their best refuge in corruption. Additionally, corruption – practiced in all the spheres and level of public affairs, besides being an essential element of (un)cultured Mexican politics – is the main obstacle for the establishment of a government of law, and therefore, for the consolidation of democracy. Corruption is an endemic disease that has invaded the national body politic, in which are included the highest governmental spheres, the corporate elites and the political parties, down to the lowest strata of bureaucracy and its bribers. That corruption defect prevents the nation’s political health and threatens to produce a failed state or at least for it to remain in a crooked condition.”

(Note: A political storm has just broken out in Mexico because of the publication of a book by a prominent politician accusing Mexico’s ex-President Carlos Salinas de Gortari of corruption and of links with organized crime and narco traffickers. A second ex-president, Miguel de la Madrid, has now publicly echoed those accusations.)

The Radical left in America, i.e. the Democrat party and its leaders are bound and determined to follow suit and lead America down the path to corruption

From Obama to your local mayor, Democrats are showing a new depth of corruption in America. Many initial Obama cabinet choices were unfit because they broke the tax laws and did not pay their taxes. Have you heard of any of them being indicted, tried, or convicted? No. Neither has anyone else. And the reason is that the Democrats have corrupted the Justice Dept., FBI, IRS, etc. so that powerful Democrats are not prosecuted for their crimes. We are on a slippery slope of crime, corruption, and bad government that is leading straight south.

Martha Stewart was convicted and went to prison for lying to a federal agent. The unfit cabinet nominees lied on their taxes and to federal agents questioning them in preparation for their nomination. Not one of them went to jail nor will they.

This is the way the cancer of corruption grows. First powerful politicians are above the law. Then the corruption makes its way down through the ranks of politicians and bureaucrats and finally to the local cop. Mexico learned the hard way that there is a point of no return in corruption. The Obama Administration may well teach us the same lesson.

Update on an Evil One: Remember Elvira Arellano who Used Her Son for Politics?

Here is a report from Mexico. Apparently Arellano got in some trouble in the drug cartel-controlled state of Michoacan. Very interesting. Get in trouble, and to get out of it, run as a communist for the corrupt Mexican Congress. Sounds just like what Hillary did after Whitewater and Bill's impeachment. Both "ladies" are beneath contempt.

Elvira Arellano – Candidate for the Mexican Congress of the far left-wing political PRD party
May 13, 2009 by m3report

Cambio de Michoacan (Morelia, Michoacan) 5/12/09
Elvira Arellano (the illegal alien who gained notoriety some time back by taking refuge in a Chicago area church to avoid detention and deportation) has just resigned as consultant to the Michoacan “Department of the Migrant.” To defend her from some recent local criticism, that agency reported that she was “the link between the agency and the diverse groups for the protection of migrants in the United States and in different parts of the world.” Also, “suffice it to say that in the neighbor country to the north there could be 28 million Mexicans and that at least half of them do not have legal status.” Arellano is now a candidate for the Mexican Congress of the “PRD” (far left-wing political party). source

Annual Warning of No-Go Zone in Arizona

This map shows a dark dotted line across approximately the southern 20% of Arizona where the Arizona Game and Fish Dept. states “Homeland security issues along the international border may affect the quality of a person’s hunt.” Translation: This is an unsafe, no go zone, for Americans. Even armed hunters are not safe here with armed invaders and drug smugglers willing to shoot on site, and they carry automatic weapons such as AK47’s from China and Russia.

Obama says we will have a virtual fence to control the border

A few rounds from an AK47 and the virtual fence is out of business. Even less drastic measures can be used to destroy them. Their power source, propane tanks, electronics cables, etc. are on the ground near the tower. A few well aimed rocks or a little fire will also put the unmanned and unprotected surveillance towers out of business. But then, that’s the whole idea of a virtual fence instead of a real fence that works.

The virtual fence is a multi-billion dollar scam and a way to keep the border open to illegal invaders and drug smugglers.

A Nightmare Brings back a Bad Memory

Background

I had a nightmare recently that took me back more than 20 years to the time I worked with an evil person. At the time, many of his actions and words were so bad that they were hard to believe, much less understand. A couple decades can dull the aspects of personal attacks and harm and allow one to look at the broader aspects of such an experience.

It would be interesting to know how many of you readers personally knew or know evil people. Sure, we all know serial killers, pedophiles, terrorists, etc. are evil, but few of us personally know or have worked several years, day in and day out, with evil people. I am talking about personally knowing, interacting, and coming to see evil in someone you personally know.

What is Evil?

Endless definitions, essays, and books could be written defining and characterizing evil. But for discussion purposes I will use the following factors and acts to define evil.

Evil is that force or entity (the Devil for those who believe in him) that entices, deceives, guides, and pushes people to wickedness and sin. Those who yield their nature to the force of evil and dedicate themselves to live and follow wicked and sinful ways are evil. Evil can also be used to describe a part of a person that is bad as in his evil side. The main interest herein is the case when all or most of a person is evil.

The Reality I Lived Through

The nightmare triggered my memory and I recalled a time in my life I had tried to forget. It is not fun remembering, but perhaps analyzing it from a different perspective will help me lessen the personal aspects and put it behind me again.

Bob was evil. It took a long time for most in our office to recognize this and some never did. Like Manson, Bob had his following. One was an alcoholic male technician he seduced and another was a female student with a sad history of sexual and physical abuse he drew into his schemes and seduced. Bob recognized weakness and preyed on weak people first. He collected other followers along the way during the 10 years or so I knew him.

Bob was a bully, liar, schemer, thief, fraud, and an authority figure (a scientist) who abused his authority and, eventually, everyone around him. Rather than being fired when his true nature came out, he was transferred from one university or agency to another and to different locations within an agency. Aside: Supervisors who take the easy way out and transfer rather than fire an evil person are themselves committing an evil act by assisting the continuation of evil.

At one time or another Bob attacked almost everyone in our office but his followers. At the time I didn’t recognize it, but I was one of the lucky ones as his attacks on me were much less severe and damaging than they were on most of our colleagues.

Here is the way our office dynamic worked. Bob attacked me behind my back for a year or more before his attacks became overt and obvious to everyone. First, he questioned my honesty and motives, then my specific actions, and finally my scientific integrity. Then he switched to overt accusations of misdeeds such as theft, falsification of data, and of conspiring against him. He backed up his charges with the word of his alcoholic technician and his student. Some of my colleagues believed some of his lies and most of them were too embarrassed by it all to discuss it with me, most just didn’t want to get involved, and about a third were outraged and came to my defense, more in private than publically. Of course, it is obvious what this did to cohesion, team work, and camaraderie in our office.

As is typical with such evil people, Bob finished with me and moved on to others. A few of those others, after suffering worse than I did, subsequently came to me and apologized for believing the rumors and accusations. Most asked me, as having experienced the same thing, to come to their assistance. I regret that unless they had been loyal friends to me throughout, I refused. By so doing, I too helped the evil go on longer than it would have otherwise.

Over about 8 or 9 years, Bob worked his way up the chain of command to our boss and then to the regional boss. These same bosses that told those of us Bob attacked that it was “just a personality conflict” were quick to react when the attacks were on them, and Bob was finally fired by the regional supervisor and a national representative of the organization. They were very upset by his personal attacks on them.

About the time he was attacking our upper management, I did two things. First, I came to their defense verbally and in writing and backed it up with hard data and evidence. This helped them but never even drew a thank you, privately or publically. But, I don’t regret coming to their defense—it was the right thing to do as I knew the accusations were false.

The second thing I did was to resign and leave the organization. This was a tactical mistake. One should never let a bully push you into resigning because that is exactly his purpose and you are making an irrational decision during a time of stress. However, it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to my career. So I guess it was a strategic victory brought about by a tactical mistake.

What Happened after Bob was Finally Fired

Along the way, before and after my experience with him, Bob went through 4 or 5 marriages (I knew of 3 of them and Bob spoke about the other two). His longest marriage resulted in two children. One went to prison over drug and theft charges and the other one graduated from high school and disappeared.

Left alone and without his nice salary, Bob quickly went downhill. He wrote scorching letters to the editor of whichever newspaper or journal would accept them. After a time, they too saw him as an unstable and dangerous man and stopped publishing his letters, opinions, and scientific publications. He became a joke in his scientific circles and a tragedy in his personal circle. His hate, evil, and vicious attacks finally fell on his sad followers until he was alone.

The previous level of team spirit, camaraderie, and friendships never returned to the office and it remains an “us vs. them” organization over 2 decades later. Cliques and groups dominate office politics and operations to this day. Bob’s evil lives on in the form of hate among and between various factions, competition instead of cooperation, and unfocused goals and leadership. Finally, the former levels of professionalism and personal integrity were never regained in the wake of Bob’s evil actions. I am glad to be out of there.

Advice if You are ever in a Similar Situation

I really have very little advice. Don’t be too quick to believe accusations but give good people the benefit of the doubt. Remember, when someone talks behind another’s back, you are only hearing one side.

Watch your back, ignore what you can, fight back when you have to, and seek reliable, long term partnerships with true friends and colleagues with integrity. You may be able to defeat the evil and restore the organization to its previous level of decency and goodness.

Don’t make rash decisions when you are in the middle of outrageous and undeserved attacks; wait and make your career decisions when you have a clear head and a better perspective. But, if upon sober reflection it looks as if the organization will never recover from the evil that befell it, move on when, and only when, it is to your advantage.

Obama Cancels Border Fence

Generalissimo Obama canceled the border fence leaving most of Arizona and New Mexico wide open to invasion and border violence. Phoenix is already the number two city for kidnappings (after Mexico City). Murders are already occurring every day along the border and more violence will move north.

The Generalissimo’s ally, The Man from Mejico, DEM Greejalva is trying to get a no go zone to protect the main smuggling route through Arizona. Easy to manipulate, tunnel vision Greejalva cares only about Mexico and environmental extremists are using him to try and set up a vast jaguar protection area along the border. This would keep the area closed to Americans but wide open to drug and people smugglers.

Incidentally, the border town of Columbus, NM is now becoming a main haven and route for smugglers and drug cartel murderers as the route through El Paso, TX has come under stronger enforcement.

I thought Senor Bush was the biggest traitor ever on open borders and illegal immigration. I lacked imagination. The Generalissimo is worse than Presidente Bush de Mexico.

Generalissimo Obama Motors (GMOM)

I have been pondering the future of GM after it is nationalized, and I guess that has happened. So it is time to examine some of the possible consequences for America and our future automobile choices. As it looks now the government will own about 55% of GM and the United Auto Workers (UAW) will own about 40% source

Take a Look at the New Owners

Obama and his patched together Administration (mostly former Clinton Administration retreads and Obama’s political cronies from Chicago) has little, if any, experience in private industry. Sure, some of them sit on boards of corporations and some have had make-work jobs like Michelle’s. But none have ever actually worked to build their own business outside of the political process or provide any real direction except insider knowledge to corporate boards. These are the people who will hold 55%of GMON stock and call the shots.

Most big unions in America have a long and continuous relationship with organized crime. The teamsters provide the best publically known example but other big unions are not clean. The UAW will control about 40% of GMOM leaving some 5% of the stock to everyone else in the world.

These people cannot run a company. They lack the work ethic, integrity, experience, and motivation. They will not be able to keep their hands out of the till so expect thug and gangster like behavior and management practices.

What they Probably will do with GMOM

First, the Generalissimo will dictate that the cars built are high mileage-low pollution. Or, have the appearance of efficiency and lack of pollution even if part of their power comes from power plants (electric cars) belching out huge quantities of air pollution—at least the car isn’t directly polluting the air. Other cars will be hybrids (using huge heavy metal batteries and composite materials requiring huge energy input to manufacture and waste disposal nightmares when the cars are disposed of in a few years). And, they may also use vast quantities of “biofuels’ made from food; food that is unavailable to humans because it is used as fuel. So, these “efficient, non-polluting” cars may in fact be less efficient and cause more pollution than traditional American cars.

Second, the GMOM cars are likely to be crappy little cars that Americans avoid. Cars that ordinary citizens do not want.
The way around this problem is to use what got us into our economic mess. Subsidize the poor (that is anyone not working or anyone who meets diversity qualifications, etc.) by letting them have no down payment loans guaranteed with taxpayer funds. That is, let selected Americans buy the cars and make the taxpayers, the working Americans, take care of the payments. These subsidized purchases would be limited to GMOM only.

Now, there only remains the problem of competition. Ford, Toyota, and Honda may be selling cars people want. This will require the federal government to impose strict mileage & emission standards that are almost impossible to meet. GMOM, as a government owned corporation, would be exempt from the regulations. This would drive the competition out of business.

China currently makes more cars per year than the United States. Their cheap little cars that no one wants will flood the market. They will be subject to the strict regulations and not allowed to participate in the subsidized purchases paid for by the taxpayers. No problem for the Chinese, their cars will be so much cheaper that they will remain competitive.

Taxpayers Dilemma

The Chinese cars are terrible and expensive. The GMOM cars are terrible and more expensive. They have three choices. First, they can do without cars themselves, but still be required to pay for the GMOM cars purchased by about half the population. Second, they can buy Chinese cars and still be required to pay for the GMOM cars purchased by about half the population. Finally, they can buy expensive GMOM cars and pay for the GMOM cars purchased by about half the population.

The crooked politicians will be happy, the crooked unions will be happy, the chiselers receiving free cars from the working taxpayers will be happy, the Chinese will be happy, and, since the GMOM worked out so well for the Democrats, they will design nationalized health care using the same business model.

The 5th of May: A Good Day to Love America

The Batttle of San Jacinto, Texas

Given the marches, riots, crimes, and shameful conduct of illegal criminal invaders in America, I thought it was appropriate to remember a great day in Texas and American history. Remember the Alamo!

Summary of the Battle of San Jacinto source

The Battle of San Jacinto, fought on April 21, 1836, in present-day Harris County, Texas, was the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution. Led by General Sam Houston, the Texas Army engaged and defeated General Antonio López de Santa Anna's Mexican forces in a fight that lasted just eighteen minutes. Hundreds of Mexican soldiers were killed or captured, while there were only nine Texan casualties.

Santa Anna, the President of Mexico, was captured the following day and held as a prisoner of war. Not long afterwards, he signed the peace treaties that dictated that the Mexican army leave the region, paving the way for the Republic of Texas to become an independent country. These treaties did not specifically recognize Texas as a sovereign nation but stipulated that Santa Anna was to lobby for such recognition in Mexico City. Sam Houston became a national celebrity, and the Texans' rallying cry, "Remember Goliad!" and "Remember the Alamo!," became etched into the American history and legend

Here is an account after the battle, what true words of joy source

".........waving his hat and shouting "San Jacinto! San Jacinto! The Mexicans are whipped and Santa Anna a prisoner." The scene that followed beggars description. People embraced, laughed and wept and prayed, all in one breath. As the moon rose over the vast flower-decked prairie, the soft southern wind carried peace to tired hearts and grateful slumber. As battles go, San Jacinto was but a skirmish; but with what mighty consequences! The lives and the liberty of a few hundred pioneers at stake and an empire won! Look to it, you Texans of today, with happy homes, mid fields of smiling plenty, that the blood of the Alamo, Goliad, and San Jacinto sealed forever . Texas, one and indivisible!--Ms. Kate Scurry Terrell describing the scene among refugee families on the Sabine River.

Be of good cheer on this day, hold these criminal invaders and those who betray us in their name to task, and remember the greatness of America.

God Bless America!

Corrupt Mexican Army and Police Cannot Slow Violence in Mexico

With much fanfare, the government of Mexico sent approximately 10,000 soldiers and police to Ciudad Juarez (across the border from El Paso, TX) to get control of the narco-violence there. The government criminals and the drug cartel criminals are all too often the same. Here is more evidence that Mexico is a failed state source

Excelsior (Mexico City) 4/30/09

* (Last April 20 we reported on the death of eight Mex. federal agents, mostly “AFI” (Mex. equiv. to FBI), during an attack and failed attempt by thugs to rescue Geronimo Gamez, a Gulf Cartel finance head, who was being transported to prison at Tepic, Nayarit)
A Mexican federal judge has now ordered twelve “AFI” agents to be placed into temporary, 40-day detention; the twelve are under investigation for their possible connection with the failed attempt to liberate Geronimo Gamez.

* Juarez’ wave of violence continued on Wednesday. Two men and a 14 yr. old girl were shot and killed in Guadalupe, in the Juarez Valley; another man was killed while walking out in the street in the Fidel Avila section. And two other men and a woman are in critical condition in a Juarez clinic after being shot while riding in a vehicle. A female police officer, herself a widow of a murdered policeman, was shot and killed outside her home by thugs in a passing vehicle.

El Norte (Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua) 4/30/09

There were ten homicides within 24 hrs. in Juarez. Despite the presence of nearly 10 thousand military and federal personnel in the city, homicides have increased more than 17% compared to the previous month and 32% compared to April of 2008. There have been 63 murders in the Juarez area in April of this year.

The Obama Administration tries to Divert Attention and Blame the US

The violence in Mexico is done by Mexicans. It is easy to say 90% of the guns used are coming from the US gun stores, while it is actually less than 20%. For example, many of the weapons used are AK47’s made in communist countries such as Russia and China. Mexican murderers also use grenades and launchers that are never for sale in US gun stores. With billions of dollars available, the drug cartels can buy any weapons the want on the international arms market.

Obama and his dull Homeland Security Sec., Napolitano should stop trying to divert attention from a failing Mexico and face the issue of border security. Now, more than ever, we need a fence for the US-Mexico border.

International Burnout

We used to call this a “peel out”. I guess “burnout” is now the more popular term.

Any of you who ever owned a muscle car or a hot rod (American part of the video) should appreciate this. Others may wish they had a chance to own one. Still others (and I won’t call you sissy or other terms) might not see the need or fun in such things. It is still mostly a free country, for now, so to each his own.
