Chicago Politics and the Democrat Economic Stimulus Project
This came through e-mail. It’s a nice little joke about Chicago politics.
But, if you multiply all the dollar amounts by about a billion (1,000,000,000), then it applies very well to the Obama-Pelosi-Reid-Democrat Stimulus Project.
Oops, I forgot that Robert Reich (ex Clintonista of course) says that the stimulus funds shouldn’t go to experienced or capable contractors and workers because too many of them are white. Oh well, a joke can only be stretched so far these days.
Enjoy.
Chicago Politics heads to Washington!
Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House in D.C.;
One from Chicago , one from Tennessee and a third from Kentucky. They all go with a White House official to examine the fence.
The Tennessee contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring,
then works some figures with a pencil. 'Well', he says, 'I figure the job will run about $900 : $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'
The Kentucky contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, 'I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'
The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, '$2,700. '
The official, incredulous, whispers back, 'You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?'
The Chicago contractor whispers back, '$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire that guy from Kentucky to fix the fence.'
'Done!' replies the government official.
And that my friends, is how it all works in Chicago !!!

Stimulus bill moves us closer to nationalized health care and rationing
The House of Representatives approved an $819 billion economic stimulus package Wednesday. The party line vote was a blow to Barack Obama's alleged desire for bipartisanship. All the Republicans and 11 democrats voted against the bill. One thing in the bill that went mostly unnoticed was a new bureaucracy called the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research.
Yuck, Yuck, Yuck
Redneck, thanks for the comments.
I too noticed that not one Republican in the House joined the Democrats. I hope the Senate Republicans show some patriotism and backbone.
The DEM's stimulus plan is a trillion dollar redistribution of wealth from the working taxpayers to the dependents of the Democratic Party--those that don't work and pay income taxes.
On a scale of 1 to 10, this is about a 5 on the move to socialism. Once these welfare payments start the greedy dependents block-vote to keep them forever.
Thanks for the comments chuck, I too got a grin from the joke.
Sadly, that is more true than not.
*sigh*
all the corruption can easily lead one to despair!
Brooke, Angel. Don't despair. Please see my Friday post, that will cheer you up.
