Letter To Sen. Kyl When Amnesty Bill Failed
June 28, 2007 Letter to Sen. Kyl via his web siteSen. Kyl. The amnesty bill has failed for now. Apparently, it mattered to your Senate colleagues that at least 2/3 of the American people were against the “Compromise” bill and they felt it was wrong for an oligarchic government to force it upon the American people against their will. I regret that you do not believe in government of the people, by the people, and for the people. I regret that you seek to thwart representative democracy and impose your personal will and purposes upon us.
You violated your 2006 campaign promises and lied to your constituents in Arizona by switching sides. You also betrayed your loyalty to America and your oath of office. This is a shame and a deep regret that you will carry forever. Will you at least publicly apologize to the citizens of Arizona for lying to them? Will you also tell the American people what you were promised and/or given to switch sides on this critical national security issue?
Sen. Kyl, if you do less than taking these two steps you will always be remembered as a conservative Republican who betrayed his party, his voters, his constituents, and the American people.

I sent sent him an email, less eloquent than yours, but making it clear that his deeds will not be forgotten. He's toast.
Kevin, thans for the comment and the kind words. Yes, I hope Kyl is recalled or voted out of office. It is just sad that we have to wait 5 years. Unless he gets that judicial appointment that is rumored. Then he has a lifetime job with ironclad security.
Lomaalta,
Let us know if you get any response other then the generic "thank you for sharing your thoughts". Apparently here in NM both St. Pete and Senator Stelth voted against the bill.
Ok Baxer I will. Sometimes it is just a "thank you for sharing" and other times he tries to justify his position. But, either way will let you know what Sen. kyl says.
LomaAlta, did you see the post from Katie’s Dad this past weekend? He’s directed everyone to petition to recall Florida Sen. Mel Martinez for violating his pledge to oppose amnesty. I don’t know if you folks in Arizona can do the same thing with Kyl. It’s worth thinking about.
Here’s the link to what Katie’s Dad had to say:

You’re doing great work. Keep it up!
John, thanks for the comments and the encouragement. I have already signed the Mel Martinez recall when Amboy Times had it up.
There are a couple of recall Kyl efforts going, but, so far I haven't found one that seems capable of accomplishing it. We will keep trying, thanks.
I will be working hard to see that this Judas reaps his just reward. The chickens are already coming home to roost at the McCain farm. Hee Haw!
