Invasion of America - National Guard Flees
Introduction
Here is a summary of what happened from several sources. While some blogs include details and others have shorter posts, they all point to the same thing. Armed Mexicans invaded the US in Arizona and forced the National Guard to flee. Apparently, the rules of engagement will not let the National Guard troops protect themselves or our border.
Please stop for a moment and consider the immorality of a government that would send National Guard troops in harm’s way and prohibit them from defending themselves against an armed enemy. What would you call it? Is it criminal negligence? Is it betrayal of our armed forces? Is it treason?

“Mexican Gunmen Attack National Guard At Border

I’ve written plenty about “incursions” (a euphemyism for invasions) of Mexican soldiers over our Southern border - and there have been hundreds. Our Border Patrol has already been repeatedly attacked. Our government has even betrayed private American citizens - the Minutemen - to the Mexican military.
But now our National Guard troops have been attacked by heavily armed Mexicans, on our own land, and you likely won’t hear anything about it in the media! Many thanks to Romeocat for finding this news at United Conservative:
A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona’s border with Mexico.
According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state’s West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat. [Because our stupid government would prosecute any NG troops that dared to defend our border, just as they did the Border Patrol agents last year.]
The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired. However, no Guardsmen were injured in the incident.
The Border Patrol says the incident occurred somewhere along the 120 mile section of the border between Nogales and Lukeville. The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area.
The Border patrol says the attackers quickly retreated back into Mexico.”
2. From the American Patrol
“Lou Dobbs Tonight - CNN - January 5
Dobbs: Armed gunmen approached a Border Patrol observation post in Arizona manned by National Guard troops. And in line with their policy, those National Guard troops withdrew. The incident took place Wednesday night along the stretch of the Arizona-Mexico border that is known as a drug smuggling route.”
3. From the Washington Times
“Armed men overran a National Guard observation post along the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona this week, forcing the soldiers to retreat and prompting an investigation by the U.S. Border Patrol that has focused on the intruders' identity. No shots were exchanged and no one was injured in the incident, which occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The National Guard troops were members of an entry-identification team, assigned to monitor major illegal-alien and drug-smuggling corridors. After forcing the soldiers to flee, the unidentified men retreated into Mexico. National Guard Sgt. Edward Balaban said the troops did not know how many men were involved in the attack "because obviously it took place in the dark." He said National Guard officials are investigating the incident and will determine shortly whether to change any procedures for troops at the border. The Border Patrol probe has focused on determining who the armed men were, what they were doing and why they approached the observation post, which is located near Sasabe, Ariz., in one of this country's major alien and drug-smuggling corridors. The outpost sits on a hillside overlooking the border and is covered by a tent and camouflage netting. Several Border Patrol agents in the area told The Washington Times yesterday the armed men might have been trying to find out what the Guard troops would do if they were confronted by drug or alien smugglers. They said the increased presence of troops and additional Border Patrol agents in recent months had frustrated many of the area's drug and alien smugglers. "I guess they got their answer," said one veteran agent. "When in doubt, the troops will run."

“Minuteman Civil Defense Corps President Chris Simcox, whose volunteers have staked out the Sasabe area for the past two years, said MCDC will increase its activity today with dozens of members expected to stand alongside Guard troops. "I am not at all shocked by this incursion; our president and federal government have sent these lawbreakers a message of immunity if caught and a helping hand to accomplish their criminal goals," he said. "Our nation is being overrun by the influx of illegal aliens as well as drug cartels that show no signs of fear in crossing our border." Chief Aguilar has called the troops "a vital asset in the effort to protect America from future terrorist attacks and mitigate illegal border incursions." In addition to providing border security, the troops are building roads and fences, adding cameras and sensors, conducting aerial reconnaissance, providing medical aid and communications support, and assisting at highway checkpoints.”
Sorting it All Out
Let us try to sort out what this armed invasion from Mexico means in the broader sense.
The US-Mexico border is out of control. Corruption and drug cartels drive Mexico further to a violent, crime-controlled country; our biggest supplier of illegal drugs.
Political self-interest, bribery by a broad spectrum of US industrial and agricultural interests of top US politicians, and the President’s family ties to Mexican “Big Oil” and possible ties to the drug cartels, cause them to support illegal immigration. This, in turn, causes them overlook the armed invasions and the millions of illegal immigrants and their billions of crimes because there are votes, political power, and big money in supporting illegal immigration.
Smuggling, illegal immigration, drugs, murder and other crimes are spilling over the US-Mexico border and making many areas no-go zones. In Arizona, for example, I previously reported that the US Forest Service posts signs warning US citizens to avoid areas of the US National Forests and the Arizona Fish and Game Department warns hunters to avoid all of southern Arizona south of the I-10 and I-8 corridors.
That the 2000 mile long open border presents our greatest security threat is obvious.
The Administration and its supporters accuse the Democrats of wanting to “cut and run” from Iraq. At the same time, the Administration denies our National Guard troops on the border permission to defend our country or themselves. When the Mexican Army and/or its drug cartel thugs invade America, our National Guard troops must cut and run. Whatever the reason, it is sickening to see American troops running from Mexicans invading the United States. No one who supports illegal immigration and armed invasion of our country can be a patriot; likewise, all who do are traitors to their country.
Our national government supports illegal immigration. The governors of AZ, CA, NM, and Texas all support illegal immigration. Thus, there is no avenue of redress for the American people short of drastic changes in our national and state governments. Some hope that the Democrat and Republican Parties will wither and be replaced by a patriotic third party. However, this is not happening, and, if it happens, it may be too late to save America. Shed a tear for America all of you who love her. Our only hope may be our prayers to God that through His mercy He will save our nation from its government.

Another great post loma, it's a clear example of how unarmed guards on the border are worthless, and how the gov't apparently wants it that way.
You pegged it: This is blatant immorality on the part of our government.
I firmly believe that if the gov't continues in this criminal betrayal of our people, another Revolution is in the cards.
I agree with what you say, LomaAlta, unhappily. As one who loves this country, or what it used to be and could be again, I truly do grieve for America and pray for America. Many of our own people are blinded to the reality of the situation which makes it even harder to turn things around.
Whether or not we can reverse the tide is dependent on whether our 'leadership' is able to crowd in enough 'new Americans' to neutralize the rest of us, by rendering us hopelessly outnumbered. So the race is on.
Hiya LomaAlta..why the govt wants it this way is beyond my understanding.........sigh.
The Bush administration sees illegal aliens as an increased labor supply to depress the wages of American Citizens & the Democrats view illegals as potential voters to be bought with social probrams. Face it, as an American citizen you are standing in the way of increased profits for corporations & the future security of politicians.
Globalization depends upon disolving the borders & your rights as a citizen. Perhaps a 3rd party is our only salvation.
Thank you all for your comments and thoughts. Anonymous captured some of the disgust, disbelief, and dismay best with this "Face it, as an American citizen you are standing in the way of increased profits for corporations & the future security of politicians."
Sad that these profits are temporary and will carry a long-term price millions of times larger. Also sad that any political gain will be short term as freely elected politicians will be a thing of the past once America is lost to the Mexican invaders and terrorists.
